*Worse title EVER*
From August until January, we fly missions down to Antarctica. They say the weather is warmer during this time. Whoever came up with that theory should be shot...
We deliver tons upon tons of supplies to scientists that are stuck there all year long. What they do down there, I couldn't begin to tell you. Well, they DO smoke an assload of pot. That much is for sure. Just imagine a small community of stereotypical tree-hugging hippies. That's about as well as I can describe it.
Months of seclusion make these people pretty crazy. This one guy Jared (whom you'll see at the end of the collage) walks up to me out of the blue, and simply states: "I like to sniff bologna when I masturbate."
We stage out of Christchurch, New Zealand. It's a pretty nice area, and for some unknown reason, the women absolutely love Americans. Tattoos are cheap as hell, also. We have flown two missions so far, and have two more to go before heading over to Hawaii for a couple days, and then back home.
I can't even find the words to describe how cold it is down there. I could only take 3 to 4 pictures at a time since my camera would literally freeze.
All in all, it's been a great experience, and I'd like to share some of it with you.
