We've all seen them, I bet half of us believe them. What I'm talking about are those propaganda laced comercials claiming that marijuana users support international terrorism. That buying pot caused 911. This is a complete grasp at straws from a goverment drug policy that is obviously sinking faster then a gold titanic. The US government obviously used the Jingoist/xenophobic mist that blanketed the whole country in the post 9/11 trauma healing period, as a tool to throw a couple blows to the marijuana users while they're on the ground.
I reside in canada, I work a full time job, have graduated from highschool. I've also been smoking marijuana since I was about 14. Besides the slight tendancies to sleep more, talk more and eat more, I'm the same person I was before. My Senior year, I was baked every day during classes, as opposed to the year before where it was once in a blue moon. What I found that I recieved better marks in general (Tests/homework) when I was high as opposed to not. But I am getting off topic.
My point is that the marijuana is not comming from terrorists, its comming from canadians. The entire west coast of america is being fed by the British columbia families, who are breaking this law because their 9-5 pays the bills but does not give the hope of any luxuries for their family. They use the cash they recieve to buy american products such as boats, trips, trucks, and other american made consumer goods. So I implore those who believe the propaganda to sit back and ponder this themsevles"With the war on iraq, Militant islamics do not need to install reefer-madness on innocent bystandards to rally support for their cause. Nice post! I feel the same way. I don't smoke anymore but those commercials get me so worked up that I end up yelling at the tv. Crock of shit!
In the US weed comes in from the Caribbean, from our friends to the North and quite a bit from within the states. Supporting terrorism. Ha!

hailing from canada here;
i gotta say - you have a good point there.
good to read posts that tell it like it is. I live in BC and have to admit; yes this is where most of the weed comes from and further, yes we need it to pay our bills (with 7% GST and 7.5%pst as wel as astronomical property prices/taxes).
anyways, i totally agree. Also as far as the 'better grades' thing. In grade 11 (well every grade) but 11 inparticular i was given an iq test by MENSA (which i am a part of) and scored 145. After grade 12 (and many,many bags of reefer) i scored 167. go figure.

These commercials are utter bullshit. It's worse than the ones about all the diseases, unwanted pregnancies, and deaths caused by smoking. I don't smoke anymore, but sheeyit, get real.

What would happen if someone tried that? Addressed an envelope to osama in afghanistan. That would be interesting. I bet you would get a visit from some government employees soon. It would just be funny. To see the postal employees look at an envelope to osama as they tried to get it to the right people. Or ups something. They deliver anywhere that has an address.

Apparently even though I am a memeber of the Us armed forces, i also support terrorism by smoking, and so ive heard drinking in excess. Well shit..if thats the case, fuck it. i might as well go all the way and send Osama a personal check. At least it cuts out the middle man.
