WORD DOG, AIR FORCE HYMNS LIKE A MOFO!

When I get home tonight I'll flip through my dad's old Air Force hymn book.
I've been meaning to do a post about it, because some of the songs in it are absolutely ridiculous and vile, and they're likely partly responsible for the shit that comes off of my keyboard today.

---

Shit man, me too.

Sigh.

Thanks, Bubs. I hope that's really the case.

I discussed this in an email with Coleslaw the other day, but your comment brings it back to mind: before I started posting on Uber the most I ever did with verse was limited to the occasional nonsensical piece like "Birthday Cat." Random collections of lines presented in scattered fashion so as to adopt the look and feel of poetry to add to their ridiculousness. Things to make some friends, or myself, laugh. Aside from one or two 'serious' poems written - naturally - for girls, I don't think I'd ever taken a pen to paper or fingers to keys with the intention of writing anything for quality's sake.

So, in a way, Uber's been a sort of sandbox for me to play in and see what I can do with meter and rhyme. I'm sure I've formed a lot of formless hills and dug a lot of holes, but I'd like to think I've built some decent castles.

"now frozen bone and burning heart, where once a turning head a stone"
NICE.

And gold lettering would've been cooler, but fuck it.

Perchance, sirrah- might Sacrilicious get to dyke it out without speaking as she has in the story thus far?

Or, perhaps her lips shall no longer remain cock free?

HE HAS BEEN APPEASED!

Besides, it's not like I really want to give scourge and Voltage any more press. They're bloated and overexposed as is. I mean, really, scourge has his own gang now. A GANG.

I was looking forward to just posting "Anal Bass" and having an easy Thursday.

So much for that noise.

AHF - I spent the morning trying to decide on a painting. I started writing the words at around 12:45 and posted it right after it was done. I always write things for APW the day they're posted, so it's not as if I held off on this until the afternoon for fear that I'd have to pay a costumed penalty.

If it'll make you feel better I'll include a Supergirl shot at the end of Tragickal Hatery 2. It won't be the full-on goodness I'd have done if the hit count had forced my hand, but, strangely, I already have a picture of me in Supergirl garb that should satisfy the grumblings of you, the Public.

I don't know, I can not +2 you man. You cheated us! Look, it is not like I want to see you in a Supergirl outfit, I already saw that last spring. But, you waited until after we drove those hits above and beyond. You owe the public a SUPERGIRL-A-TRON. I'm just saying is all.

+2 for the art though.

Oh fuck all. So much for trying to spot the right shade from the color palette.

Stupid color blindness limiting my ability to see certain shades....

Good stuff. Gotta read Red Dragon again.

It all happened during the magical summer of 1985. A maturing Joe
Piscopo left `Saturday Night Live' to conquer Hollywood; People
Express introduced a generation of hicks to plane travel; and I was
in a barbershop quartet.
