The best lacrosse player of all NHL-ers is, and will always be, Rick Dudley.
Do some research on his season in 1974 with the Rochester Griffins of the old NLL.
I saw almost every home game that year. Everyone in the league was afraid of him as he rang up over 80 goals and 180+ penalty minutes in only 28 games.

there is some lame policy that the NHL has that will only allow most regional games to be shown in that region. ie if there is a leafs/habs/sens/canucks game on sports net or tsn on an off day (not wed. or sat.) it is blacked out everywhere but locally. It pissed me off so much to see that there was televised hockey games on that i couldnt watch.

At least it is looking promising that Koivu will play.

We have more goaltending than we need. That is something most Montrealer agree with, you clueless farmer! :-P
As for defence, it might not be the best but it is solid (Komisarek, Dandenault, Souray, Bouillon, Rivet, Streit)
We are in dire need of scorers and I'm glad they spend the off season on offence because Koivu sucks ass.

I'd have to agree with Koivu sucking and I'm quite dissapointed with Ryder and Ribero. I thought they were going to dominate but they seem to be fading.

Huet has proved to be an awesome goalie. You just didn't watch the games he played but he was much better than Théomerde and had the top saving % in the NHL for quite some time.

I am really excited to see Dion Phaneuf improve. He is fucking UNREAL. Once he gets a few years older and can hold some weight on that 6'3" frame he will OWN the north west division.

The Sens took some big steps backwards in the off season...Losing Chara KILLS that team.
I think he;s the best defenceman in the league. He's certainly the least fun to play against.

Yeah, if there is one thing you can count on it is the Sens choke show in the playoffs.
I dont think Chara will be missed all that much, his slow lumbering play style is counter to everthing else that Ottawa has to offer...

As usual, the Sharks spent their off season signing older, grinders, with zero scoring touch (Curtis Brown, Mike Grier) and no fighting ability, although I really DID like their pickup of Mark Bell from Chicago.
He has a chance to turn into another Bertuzzi or Tkachuk, minus the criminal record and the fucking whining and slashing.
Not crazy about losing Preissing, since offensive defencemen aren't exactly growing on trees out there but perhaps, Erhoff can grow into one of those.
Anyone want to trade for Nabakov? You can have him...cheap.

well decent to large city I'd say so. Calgary is ok but it's layout is stupid, plus to conservative and redneckish. Vancouver has it's high points and then it has it's herione high points. Sasketchwan is ok if there was really anyone there. And Manitoba is Canada's Mississippi.

I can totally blame Prongers wife. Pronger would have done so much better in Edmonton. No one will give a shit about him in California. The entire city and half the province would have worshipped him and his wife. Not to mention he could have been the Oilers biggest player for years and years. And Edmonton is a nice city. Or atleast it beats out the rest of western Canada.
And of course George will do good in Pheonix he's fuckin aces. I'm just sad to see him go and I know he didnt want to go. He was even willing to take a pay cut but they crapped out.
