Man, Tool fucking RULES. I am not going to go into great details about the stage set up, set lists or light show because I know that there are other Uberers going to the show and I want them to see it with virgin eyes because words cannot do justice what I was subjected to last night.
The show was fucking AWESOME and Maynard was all dressed up like a cowboy 'cause he was in COWTOWN BABY. (Calgary AB Canada for those not in the know...) He was wearing this massive fucking belt buckle and a cowboy hat. He also interacted with the crowd, not a lot by any stretch, but for tool it was verbal diarrhoea. Not only did he interact with the crowd, he was facing the front of the stage...
The show was fucking awesome and I am going to only give one tiny taste of what those of you are going to see him have in store. LASERS, TONS AND TONS OF LASERS AND IT IS AWESOME.
If anyone saw the last tour and is going to this one it is completely different. My ONLY complaint was that they only played for just shy of 2.5 hours so there was obviously songs that I wanted to hear and didn't.
Well, its Friday and the countdown to the weekend had officially BEGUN. My head hurts and I am 3/4 deaf, I hope they don't expect much from me today.

Oh, one thing DID suck about the show.
You think you had it bad at 2.5 hours?
Well, the gates opened at 7PM here, isis went on at 8, played until 8:45, stage change until 9:15, Tool played until......
11PM.
1 3/4 hours.
Wanna know why?
Greenwood Village has a noise ordinance AND a traffic ordinance. No show on Mon/Tue/Wed/Thur can open doors before 7 and no show at ALL can go past 11PM.
Even Maynard was pissy, because after they turned up the stage lights, (i shit you not) he started an a capella "Imagine" (yes, I know he covered it with APC and not Tool) After about 2 minutes, they cut his mic.
I hope they go back to either Pepsi Center or Red Rocks next time.

I caught 'em here in Denver 8/30 as a birthday present from work. Fucking BOX seats at Fiddler's Green.
BAD AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
Although, I think the ATF jacket buckle and hat are for each show, because he was in the same for us.
But you're right, the light show, the freaking pristine stage.
Ooooooooooohhhhh man. Best show I've seen this year, hands down.
