Your College bookstore is closed, it's not open

You got here early for a book
But, oh look!
It's not open 'till eight thirty!

Open it up at eight!
Now, wouldn't that be great?
Oh God, what am I gonna do? I need that book fast!
Oh, well, hopefully we won't use it today in class.
Looking in the window, I see many delights
Candy, clothes, pencils, and kites
Do people really buy the candy in there?
Why not over there...
From the vending machine?
Maybe they don't want to be seen...
Maybe they don't want to wait...
I can understand that, I guess I can relate
I think I'll buy myself a hat
That says "CVCC", let everyone know where I'm at
Or maybe that's a bad choice

Did I send in a Community College application
I don't like it here, it's a bad scene
Crazy people only crazier when loaded up on caffeine
These early classes were a big mistake
I can barely move, I'm not even half-awake
They have couches in here, a woman's watching the news
She's getting real comfortable, she's taking off her shoes
The boy a few tables over had a laptop computer
Must be smart...if I ask nice maybe he'll be my tutor

And I won't....
Have my book for class
I hope to God I pass
I'm starting to think I got played
'Cause this just feels like the 13th grade
There's nothing to say, there's nowhere to go
