You know what I figured out this weekend?
Cops don't like it much when you tell them to "fuck off".
Perhaps it was a wrong choice of words. Oh well. Gotta fight for your right and all, I suppose. It was worth it.
The jailers were intensely interested in hearing all about the police state and the government's involvement in 9/11. I'm pretty sure I made their night. I made sure to give the arresting officer an earfull of good ol' ETS conspiracy theories.
Funny story...I got a cellphone call from the back of the squad car on our way to the jailhouse. Did you know it was illegal to accept cell phone calls from the back of squad cars? Yea, neither did I. That's precisely why I refused to hang up the call.
On the bright side, I almost got to feel what it was like to be pepper sprayed when the officer had to pull over to get the cell phone from me.
Good times.

Another thing I did do, that I just remembered...
When the cop told me he was about to pepperspray me if I hadn't given up the phone, I told him he might as well just take me out into the woods and shoot me in the head.
I kept telling him to "turn here"..."turn left here"..."there's a good place to do it right down there"...
He went silent after that. I think it actually hurt his feelings to think that this is what some people thought of his profession now. I think maybe he also sensed I was entirely serious.
It was pretty visceral.

It can certainly be taken to the extreme and the result of that stupidity is generally painful and dumb... but the main goal of 'PC' is simply being considerate. It is hardly a bad thing to embrace the understanding that in our society words DO matter and how they are used can sometimes be hurtful, ignorant and disrespectful. Empathy is a good thing... Jesus would approve methinks.
However, in this case I was not being politically correct, I was merely highlighting the fact that you were acting like a dick.
You pushed no limit, you rocked no boat, you engaged in a selfish juvenile conflict with a guy who was just doing his job and then arrested you instead of turning his attention to where it should be. While you were wasting his time, he could have perhaps been stopping some sort of real crime instead of booking some needlessly confrontational genius-type.

Telling someone to 'fuck off' is just plain rude, and while it might be endlessly entertaining to type that particular phrase into an anonymous internet forum - telling a peace officer to fuck off in "real life" is just plain stupid... especially when given the whole story.
What a great example for those kids too, huh? Way to show them how to be disrespectful! Hopefully they will all grow up and be equally belligerent and maybe (just maybe!) one of them will grow up get himself arrested for being a petulant asshole too.

Ok, in light of some misinformed comments, I will try my best to give you what Paul Harvey calls "the rest of the story".
There were two parties going on side by side. I happened to know people at both parties. One was a predominantly juvenile-filled party at which I knew the members of the death metal band playing. They were a bunch of high school age kids whose demos I have recorded in my studio. I was there to check them out and lend moral support. They had rented this big building out for the evening to hold their concert. There was, of course, no alcohol there and plenty of adult supervision.
Next door there was another party going on where I knew a few people as well. My ex-drummer was in the band over there and there was a keg. I didn't drink any of their beer, but I had my own.
At one point I walked over to the adult party to say hi to my ex-drummer and upon returning, the officer - a MALE - officer Tracy Steinhoff addressed the crowd of youngsters, who by this time were just tearing down their equipment and just hanging out, if they didn't stay away from the other party where the beer was, he'd make them all leave.
At this juncture I stepped in and said, "Hang on a minute! These kids aren't doing anything wrong. They rented this building out lawfully and have just as much right to be here as those people next door. If a few bad apples from this party have somehow gotten alcohol from the party next door, you cannot hold everyone here who are abiding by the law accountable for that."
Then I asked him, "Do you see anyone here with alcohol?"
"No."
"Do you see any of these kids stumbling around drunk or causing a scene?"
"No."
"Then it seems to me you need to fuck off and go stand over there by the other party with the alcohol and leave these kids alone."
He didn't like that.
I don't think that constitutes "disorderly conduct" just because I cussed the guy. Last time I checked, saying a cuss word is not a crime unless it's on TV.
I'm gonna look up the statute and seriously consider representing myself in court. This will also afford me the opportunity to acquire the police video via subpoena.

Actually, yes I was. I was informing them about the RFID chips they're going to try to have them insert in every criminal at some point and the 9/11 conspiracy. I told them to look up and watch Loose Change when they got home. At least one deputy jailer wrote it down.
They ask some funny questions when you get processed now. They asked me if I was in a gang. :|
I thought about telling them I was in the Crips, but I just declined to answer that question.
It's pretty bad when you have to help the deputy out by giving him technical support on the digital finger scanner when it starts to error up. "Try pressing 'continue'."

Lol, I like this because I just told an off-duty cop to suck my dick this week. I was speeding on my bike and then came to a red light when a guy pulled next to me and said, "Slow down buddy." I don't like it when people start minding my business so I simply replied, "Suck my dick, bitch." Then I drove off. Well he must of followed me because when I came back out to my car there was a note on my bike that said, "This is your get out of jail free card. I am the off-duty cop you told to suck your dick."
Another time when I was arrested for underage drinking and resisting arrest I was cussing at these two cops the whole way there. When they got to the jailhouse they said, "You say one more swear word and you aren't going to like what happens." I thought about it for a 3 seconds and then decided I wasn't going to give in to these bastards so I said, "Fuck you." Both of them picked me up and carried me into the jail and yelled, "He is resisting" to which 4 more cops helped to carry me horizontally into a cell. This is where they proceeded to strip me of my clothes until I was naked. They then left me to freeze.

The cell phone thing isn't that crazy when I think about it.
-You don't want a bad guy to call his bad guy buddies for help (i.e. throw out all your pot plants at home) or to warn accomplices to scoot.
-Beligerant drunks should never be allowed near a phone.
-Beligerant conspiracy theorists probably have bombs in their phones; and when they're drunk,they're more likely to press the button.
-Incriminating voicemails might be stored in an arrestee's phone. You don't want them deleted.
