Al'right, I have decided to alter the tournament format to one that will be perfect. All issues unreferneced here remain unchanged since last post.
As of now, we have about 18 participants, a couple more than 16, which is an ideal "power of two." Instead of an akward system of byes, which will be necessary unless there are 16, 24, or 32 participants, there will instead be an UBER PRELIMINARY ADD-STYLE ROUND that every participant takes part in.
Three titles will be offered for the preliminary round. Each participant will make one post with their choosen title during the process of said n00b round. The top 16 ratings from the posts in this round will get the user into the next "First Round." All others will be eliminated. The 16 who made it will be seeded and matched-up based on their preliminary post's rating, so that all seeds etc. are based on the competition itself and not some Ubersite-points system. The regular tournament will then proceed to a regular set of 4 rounds of 1 v 1 elimination for the title of lord of awesome.
Also, following round one, the seeds/match-ups in each round will be based on the rating of the user's post from the previous round, so you could end up facing ANY of the winners. If fewer than 16 participants submit their preliminary post, the highest-rated posts will receive the necessary byes. The old seeding/points system is to be abolished.

I've got to love JMG's public username, as I see it as "D-Prime Madness!"
It also admits that DPM is on the same playing field as Ubermadness, which is half way to the truth: Ubermadness blows DPM in its dreams.

JMG: Officially you have to post a certain phrase provided in the last DPM post, and otherwise I'll only let one in if it's convenient. But I assure you that it will be convenient for me to let you in despite your inferior form of admission.
Now... as an extra... if you'd like to temporarily change your public username to advertise this bit of fun called D-Prime Madness on the MVA... that would be dandy. Method and Rad are doing it! But no pressure; it's your choice.

Your seed (and possible exclusion) will be based on your performance in the Preliminary Round. I will tell you at the end of that round.
"When are you posting these details?" I'm a real whore for excessive detail and information. As the contest continues, you'll get everything you need from posts by me. If I don't notice your presence at necessary times, I'll try to get your attention by leaving reminders on your own posts.
The preliminary round will start in a post by me, probably this weekend. However, I can't promise this weekend, but I do promise by Sept 14th. I'll give you a reminder at your request.
