Here I am, the beginning is near and I feel the pressure. Go to school, get a degree, and find a job? Yes I say, this is what I will do. I will go out into the job market with bright eyes and degree in my hand. I will aquire my dream job.
Look now, I have settled for a job that I hate. A job lacking all of my previously conceived ideals. How long will I work at this job? Two years? Forty? It doesn't matter, I have already been compromised. I am living by someone elses rules, someone elses schedule. I am a caged animal only to be let out when my owner allows.
I want to travel; see the world. I don't need the house or the American Dream, I just want to look back from my deathbed and feel satisfied. These are things I desire for the future, and here I am at the beginning. How will I start after this? How will I obtain the freedom I read about in books? Forty years spent and nothing to reap...
Things to do before I die:
* Spend a night in jail - done
* Travel across America on a motorcycle - done
* Travel in Mexico, Japan, Europe, and the Carribean
* Kill a racist
* Obtain a pilot's license
* Grow an unkempt beard
* Start a cult
* Hitchhike across America
* Travel by train and bus without a destination
* Shower in a waterfall
* Consume peyote
