I usually think this when I see something cool, that it would be nice for someone from three hundred years ago to see.

I think they'd be blown away

This is one stop on a tour then. Okay?

Or wait... he's the one travelling through time? I don't think you give this time traveller enough credit. If he's floating through time and can actually accept it, I would think he could handle a little more than bicyle stunts

AND he wouldn't be freaked out by travelling through time

I think he would be more freaked out by the idea of someone travelling through time, than of those things Bob Dole mentioned... I know I would

Look Bob Dole, perhaps I should've included it, but I wanted to get to the bikes.

All those other things are brilliant, but might overload the sensitive time-traveller. Think about it. He would freak out over much things. Much. He would be uneasy and confused. Fuckin how the fuck are you going to explain nuclear physics to a guy from three hundred years ago?

What would he understand? probably courage and physical movement, simple and apparent. IT WOULD BE MORE THEN ENOUGH.

AND

-You only have one hour
-He's not allowed to take anything back with him
-If he dies, you die
-If he freaks out and goes back in time then, according to the butterfly effect, we would all be fucked.

So after seven hours of intensive research I found that this activity is the ONLY THING you should EVER show to a time-traveller.

To be fair and balanced---
Granted throwing yourself off a cliff 50ft in the air on a bike takes serious balls (or lack of self preservation), and I most certainly can't do it myself, nor do I think most of the people here could do it either, and that does radiate high amounts of coolness, I still dont think it's something to show a time traveler.

I'd probably show them the cure for the disease that killed their parents.

Naught. I would not like to show them a bicycle. I would like to show them a person, who is upon the bicycle, and who is jumping and flying through the air on top of it.

Naught. I would not like to show them those things, because I think they might be a little shocked at those things which are what you said there inside your review.

Here look an mp3 player

Witchcraft! Then he would flight or fight, and you would have eyeballs haning on your cheeck, or you would not have your friend who is from the past around for he would have done the run away.

HDTV
Tanks
Helicopters
Planes
Space shuttles

But you want to show them a bike?

So that's what you'd show a time traveller from the past? Some anonymous man riding a bicycle over a rock?

I realize that I am totally sucking this post's penis but I can't help it. This sport is my life.

You guys should SERIOUSLY check out that Josh Bender video and watch the last jump on the reel. Simply astounding level of courage and wherewithal that man has.

And just so everyone knows, that middle image on the bottom is of Josh Bender, the world record holder of DH/Freeride jumping.

That's over 50 feet, people.

50 ... fucking ... feet.

He stuck the landing just fine, but his rollout resulted in a mild concussion. I think the video is on the 'net somewhere. I'll link to it if I can find a good quality version.

THANK YOU BOATPLANK FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.

Fucking yes.

It just so happens I'm a freerider myself, case you didn't know.
