Hey Uber, Yeah I know long time no see. Actually I posted this summer some time but I was drunk so it didn't count. I'm not even supposed to be here anymore.

I'm sure most of you heard of the horrific shooting in my town Montreal today or I guess Yesterday at dawson College. Well I just got home from work I was was just curious about what Uber thought of this.

I'm not sure if anyone even knows all the details but since I'm here I'll let you know.

As of 2:30am
-One shooter, killed by police
-One dead, a twenty year old girl
-seven in critical condition
-six in serious condition
-seven in stable condition

For Americans I'm sure this brings back memories of Columbine. I'll try and clarify anything by giving the best detailed description that I have learned throughout the day.

A lone gunman park ed and got out of his car right in front of Dawson College (Which is a CEGEP in the Province of Quebec, Post high school, pre-university institution). He fired shoots at students outside the College's Main doors and across the street towards a Popular Mall, injurying 3 people. Then proceeded to enter the building into an Atrium (the main area of the school) just as classes were coming out of session. Putting his back to a corner so no one would jump him from behind he then fired shots into a panicking teenage crowd injurying another 17 people. Police officers who were on the scene for a drug bust shot and killed the gunman. The school was shutdown for hours in fear multiple shooters but that was just a rumor.

The shooter was a 25 year old man. who came in carrying 3 guns. No word if he was a student. So far it seems like random violence.

half the city was locked down as attempts to get around were impossible. Metro lines and bus routes were stopped and that left many students stranded. The ammount of cell phone's being used in the area limited the communication between students and parents.

That is what happened in a nutshell, let me tell you that this city is in shock. the shooting was at 1245pm. I was in the city centre for class moments later and everything stopped. I didn't leave until 9pm when I had to go to work (I'm bouncing now for a bar, which was dead tonight because Ibelieve everyone stayed home because of the incident).

The thing is we are a major metropolitan area with 3 million people. We have gangs, we ahve drive-bys, we have homicides. but with this there is purpose and reason. Communities get rocked when there is no reason behind violence. This is where we stand in Montreal today. Not that Many people know but a similar incident happened in 1989 and an engineering school in Montreal when a gunman shot 13 women to death at the school. Many references to that incident are being brought up.

As some of you know I used to work in a High school in Montreal and Many of those students that I taught for three years are now going to Dawson, I'm just wishing them all well and hope that they are strong in this unhumain attack.

I don't have much else to say about it Uber, just felt like getting some information out there. What a fucked up day.

===
his gun were illegals. this has fuck all to do with the gun registry.
------------------------------------
On top of that, the gun registry hasn't really made a dent in crimes involving guns. You don't actually think that someone buying guns with criminal intent is going to obtain them through *legal* means, do you?

------------------------------------

Ha, Ha, silly me. I thought I had the perfect excuse to go on a killing rampage in the conservative partee headquarters.

But, do I really need one?

(Btw, I agree on how ridiculous my statement was. I still hate the bastards, though...)

And I didn't do the myspace page. However, I'd like to know why you'd even think I would have done it. Just because I made a few insult pages with Tony Montana (idiot) and Eric Rice doesn't mean I'd throw you in with that list. I admitted what I did always with a post anyway so it wouldn't fit my modus operandi. I am flattered that I'm a suspect, but I never considered any of your insults to warrant any kind of stupid internet retaliation. I make fun of canadians, you make fun of Americans and that should be that. Don't be a hypocrite, now.

'"terror-loving neighbor to the north"

classic Stabkill. we should call you FoxNews.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So all my replies are right-wing anti-muslim (I am not pro-christians oddly enough) and anti-terror-luvin'-canada.

All your replies are all whining, complaining, and boring.

Anyone who has been around here for more than 1 hour would realize this. I really don't care... Certainly not enough to go out and make a myspace page of you with a bunch of gay guys on your friends list (Who did that anyway?)

I would expect an article of some redneckery would be filled with your typical comments. So why do you even bother? Are you hoping for some miracle redemption in which I start spreading the love of Canada to the world? I don't know. All I know is THAT is not going to happen as much as you making McDonald's your daily lunch spot.

He wounded a bunch of folks, but only one is dead.

For god's sake, when you go on a rampage you must kill the wounded as you pass them. A bullet straight to the head will do.

That guy that went on a shooting rampage at McDonalds (Caulaincourt's hero) many years ago kicked major ass because he knew how to kill...not just wound.

It makes me sad that you have these hospitals loaded up with wounded instead of morgues loaded with dead Canadians....especially from that region.

Obviously too arrogant to pick-up that a good number of us are from Canada. Honestly though, your typical American personality is not only over-done and tired, it's down right pathetic. Micheal Moore is already working on the film "Bowling for Dawson: The Chronicles of a fat Cunt with a slim grasp of journalistic integrity"

No one knows his story yet, maybe he just wanted to go out in a blaze of glory, who knows.

---

yeah, that's probably it..."I want to die, might as well take as many people with me" type of thing. the police should've beat him to death...shooting him was too easy.

Wasnt there a guy on Ubersite sometime last year who was witness to a mall shooting in Seattle? That seems to be a more fitting comparison.

Scary, man.

i'm suprised our police actually did something.

it's renown for sitting around and ignoring infractions.
------
that's true. I'm glad they jumped all over it.
plus I was blowing stop signs all afternoon, i knew they were busy.
===
even if they weren't busy, when you whiz by them at 30 km over the speed limit or burn red lights one after the other, they just shrug and get back to sleep.

I know people are comparing this incident to colmbine, but this guy was 25 years old...i really doubt he was being tormented by people at Dawson...the school is filled with all kinds of people...unless he got kicked out of the school..but why kill innocent people, who just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time? I don't get it..

it's just that the media have been riding this like it's greatest thing ever.

violence sells
-------
That is true but now that I'm getting involved in media (radio school)maybe I find it more interesting then I would normally.

violence does sell, but random violence scares.

First, Denis Lortie in the Parliament. Then Marc Lépine at UDM (it was 14, not 13 women). Then Valery Fabrikant at Concordia. Now this Sri Lankan (that's what Charest said) retard.

For people who claim to be pacifists and love to look down on americans for their gun crime, our record is not exactly pretty.

I really don't think this is worth alarming the world though...in my opinion.

I know you're mad at me right now, and I'm kinda mad too ... I mean, we
could sit here and try to figure out who forgot to pick up who till the
cows come home. But let's just say we're both wrong and that'll be that.
