I, Chroniclysm, am going to be faced with an impossible choice; to go on the run and flee from this caricature of a society we have here in North America, or, to face this like a man and right this incredible wrong, in spite of the penalties.
The issue, of course, is Dogg The Bounty Hunter. This man, whose role in society is a place with no angels, is in the midst of a horrendous legal ordeal. He has been arrested for capturing someone who fled the American Judicial system when faced with the consequences for his heinous crimes.
With the use of "date-rape" drugs, Andrew Luster, sedated, violated, and raped multiple women. He is also the heir to the Max-Factor fortune, and would therefore have the means for mobility, making him difficult to capture, potentially for years. Dogg, an admittedly absurd character in Modern American Pop Culture, took it upon himself to bring this disgusting individual back to the United States to face his crimes.
He is a bounty hunter. This is what he does. And now, he faces potential Mexican Prison time for something he did three full years ago. My guess is that the statute of limitations must have been just around the corner. Regardless, it is outrageous. Dogg was not trying to hide. I see him on TV all the time, kicking ass and taking names and giving spiritual advice to ice-heads.
As I was initially saying, if Dogg is convicted, there are only two possible courses of action for me. The first, is complete detachment from American society. This would be an enormous decision, to walk away from everything I know. I can't even say for sure where I would go to. Maybe Copenhagen. I've always wanted to go there for some reason. The other option is to face this head on and run a covert dark-op to bust Dogg, and potentially his brother-in-law, out of Mexican prison.
The course of my life rides on the verdict of this case, because if a reasonable society and another reasonable society, with fully entangled diplomatic relations, can't manage to be just in the case of Dogg The Bounty Hunter, I will have to make a choice about the remainder of my time on this world.
Ya know what??? Fuck Copenhagen!! Dogg, if you get beat on this one, Chronic's coming for you with dynamite and uzis!!!

It's humorous that people (jgreening) would say that because he broke a law, regardless of the nationality of said law, knowing full well that such a 'crime' is big business in their shitty little country. They're probably going to make it a political issue to bring around more Mexican nationalista feelings in the public. I mean come one, we'd be proud if we arrested and improsed Juan Valdez and they should likewise be proud of arresting such a pop culture icon as our retired WWF Wrestler Duane "Dog" Chapman. Personally, I think the Mexicans are just trying to wave around their big stick of hypocrisy when someone breaks their laws yet they pass out flyers paid for with Mexican government money on how to sneak into the US and gain citizenship.
Fuck da 'Cans.

Julie, he still broke a law, no matter how shitty the country.
He's still a glory-hound dicktwig who does more harm than good, no matter who he captured.
He bails high-flight-risk suspects out of jail witha ll 3 of his bond agencies, and then when "OMFG THEY BOLTED" he tracks them down.
If he didn't take on those high flight-risk fuckers, they would have never gotten out in the first place! (not speaking about the Max Factor guy. wasn't his bond)
Why does he do it?
Gloooooooooooory glory Dog-e-lu-jah!
Fuck him.
Let him get fucking shanked.
Then watch the stock in hair product companies go into the shitter.

this evening's news mentioned that "dog-dick" bailed out(mordita) of the local PV jail
a very smart move, if true, because the Mex-Fed's wanted to send him to La Palma
now Puente Grande ain't no joke, but @ La Palma the "dog" would'a been an honorary member of the through-crew with a life-expectancy of a house-fly

But since he was helping keep AMERICAN law, he should be OK to do so?

YOu think that guy actually does what he does to help other people out?
----
I actually don't even know who this guy is so I can't answer that but does it really matter? People are always doing things for some sort of recognition and praise but that doesn't mean those acts help others any less. So many people give to charities or volunteer or whatever so they can feel good about themselves and everyone will think they're awesome. While I agree that's a terrible reason to do something, at least they are doing it. I know it sucks to think about it like this but if people didn't help others just to stroke their own egos, the world would be a lot worse off than it is now.

Dog is a dicksucking gloryhound.
He's got an office here in Denver, and he's in n' out, and EVERY TIME he makes even the smallest bust in Denver, he tries to get media there to cover it like it's Oswald in the theatre.
Example.
Guy had jumped bail on a menacing charge. Not a huge deal. Arguments at a bar kind of thing.
Dog called Channel 4, 7, 9 and 31 for media coverage when he found out the guy was sitting at home...
And since no one came, guess what he did.
He had one of his gobshite kids get a camera to film the whole thing, busted the guy, and then called back those same stations, telling them they missed an amazing high-stakes bust, and he was willing to sell them the tape.
AGAIN they told him to fuck off.
So he finally got WB2 to take it off his hands for like a grand, and when THEY saw the tape, the demanded repayment, because the entire bust was him kicking in the door, and screaming for the guy to get on the floor.
Which he did.
Immediately.
Now, why hadn't he shown up?
Why was his bail revoked?
His lawyer had given him an incorrect date, and the address on the warrant had numbers transposed.
Woops.

Ok, I can understand both sides of this. On one hand, he shouldn't be allowed to break laws in other countries or even our own country just because he's some super cool American bounty hunter who's on TV.
On the other hand, innocent people are kidnapped, forcefully abducted, raped, murdered, etc. all the time in Mexico but it's often overlooked and ignored by the Mexican government because of who's doing it. Drug traffickers are always getting away with killing police, beheading people and chopping their bodies up into tiny pieces, blowing people up, etc. If these people are allowed to do these things, why can't this guy break a law to actually help make Mexico a little bit safer by getting the dude off the streets as long as he's not hurting anyone? The double standards in Mexico are ridiculous. You can break any law you'd like as long as you're involved with the cartels but if you're not, you can be arrested, searched, and thrown in jail just because the police officers are bored or you don't have the money to pay them off.

Seriously, what fucking right does Mexico have to say that they don't want enforcement of the law in their country.
Armed drug-runners walk through the streets of Nuevo Laredo, shooting up police at will, and they don't want even a little help catching a rapist? Cunts.

This is my favorite story ever.
By the way, Duane Chapman was a nobody at the time he captured Andrew Luster, and if his morals were so pure, he wouldn't have been accompanied by a reality TV producer and cameras. And he could have easily avoided charges if he had simply handed luster over to the Mexican authorities, like they requested.
---------------------------
Actually Dogg had been on a few reality TV shows, but he wasn't nearly as popular.
I agree with everything else, but this cracked me up.

Just making sure that's so, because I'd like to hijack a god damned cop car and run down a dipshit I saw pissing on the sidewalk yesterday...

I guess in general I'd agree, but if the two sides can't just let it slide in consideration of what he was doing, then both sides are wrong. Luster was our criminal first, anyway. Chapman did Mexico a SEVICE by removing him.
