Goddamnit! Every time the first one sucks, so does the second. And every time the first one's good, the second one is just as good. Is it the titles? Was it a bad job of seeding? Whatever it is, 'tis quite frustrating...

\\\----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is that the whole fucking point of the seedings?

Some the most lauded writers on uber have gone up against each other and some of the lesser lights are battling it out too - all from anonymously rated submission posts.

I've been reading comments that mirror the above, matches tough to call, no forfeits (touch wood) and plenty of cliche (hey - it wouldn't be UM without cliche, fuck it wouldn't be UBERSITE without cliche).

FUCK ME IT TOOK FOUR GOES BUT UBERMADNESS FINALLY WORKS.

The reigning champ should be in it though it's a bit cheapened with no linear champ.

Domenad is kicking my arse. :-(

Of course the correct tactic is to lose, heavily, your first match and have an easier path into the final.....

I'm just sayin'

Y'know, I realized that quite some time ago, and I know a couple of you geniuses did too - this strategy works well with one or two clever folks, but with 8 or 9 attempting it, it could backfire on ya....I guess we'll see!

As I said elsewhere, I would be delighted with that outcome. The fucker made me sweat in UMII.

"a3gw21nsi" is a rough title to work with. "Peace Out" is the easiest title of all time.

No Way!!! I'd much rather have that first one than fucking "Peace Out."

Agreed. Peace Out is a title for hippie fags. Go pick daisies, ya hippie fags.

That tactic is ridiculous (not sure if you're joking or not, you are fairly dimwitted after all). While it would be an easier path, one loss sends you out of the competition, whereas if you win your first match, the path may be harder but when you lose one you go onto the easier path.

Crystle, every title was so workable. I have seen three that required a little bit of creativity: Sixty-nine, Clawhammer, and Pack it. As long as you are not completely rigid in your interpretation of any of these then you can make a quality post out of it. The authors who couldn't create a story from any of the titles so far are going to be some quick outs.

Oh come on..

"Straight Girls are Easy" ????

Change one word and you have a horrid campy movie from the early 90's.

"Sixty-Nine" ??? "Peace Out"?? "Clawhammer"?? "Three Sheets to the Wind"??

Some of the titles were workable, some sucked royally.

Some of these authors did great things with crappy titles. Some of them did crappy things with great titles... Such is Ubermadness.

But I do like the way the seeding have provided a fairly consistent head to head equality.

I dont think it's the titles. Besides 69 and pack it, all of the titles have been very workable. Some are so ambiguous you can write about virtually anything and get away with it.
