An hour ago the coffee machine broke and this guy in my office screamed something incomprehensible and tried to jump out the window. Fortunately the windows here are suicide-proof, so he just knocked himself out. We took away his shoelaces and belt as a safety precaution and he is still passed out in the corner. Maybe we should tell someone...
Then the internet died. The guy sitting next to me started crying. As the boss was passing by our office he saw it and started yelling that crying is not allowed because it depresses the other employees. Before he was done yelling, everyone else was crying. I thought of having to read documents all day without internet breaks and my eyes filled with tears as well. One of the lawyers passed by the open door and saw all of us bawling. He sat down in the middle of the hallway and burst into tears.
As I walked to the bathroom to wash my face I passed an entire floor of an office building crying, hugging each other, and passing tissues. A small group of extremely depressed people were solemnly walking up to the roof deck. I hope they are OK up there. Guess our boss was right, crying causes the problems.
