Dear Mr. Ellsworth,

I am an independent voter in Evansville, IN, and I'd like just a
moment of your time to express two of my main concerns for this
election and ask what your stance is on these issues.

I listened diligently to your debate with Mr. Hostettler on NPR last
night and was dismayed to hear that you not only neglected to confront
the obviously fake 'War on Terror', which in my mind is nothing but a
scheme designed by what Eisenhower called the 'military industrial
complex', but you seem to hold a stance that can only be described as
'politically safe'.

If you're not going to truly challenge the obvious human rights issues
in your campaign like the suspension of habeas corpus for ALL
non-citizens in this country - of which my soon-to-be British wife is
one - how am I to know that you won't just go with the proverbial flow
once in office?

If I'm going to vote for you, I want to be assured that you are a man
who sees and understands the grave detriment to the United States when
the government makes a law that says people can be arrested and
detained without a warrant for an indefinite period of time and be
tortured in the process. What assurances are you giving me that my
WIFE will not become one of those people if she writes an article for
the newspaper questioning the so-called "War on Terror" or the events
of 9/11?

This leads me to my second question... I wish there were a more
eloquent way of putting this, but I'll start by asking if you were
aware of the Zogby polls that say that 42% of Americans now believe
that elements of the U.S. government had a hand in the events of 9/11?

Are you aware and have you seen any of the following documentaries:
"Loose Change", "Martial Law 9/11: The Rise of the Police State",
"9/11 Mysteries", or "9/11: In Plane Sight"?

All of these documentaries and dozens of others like them have one
thing in common, they conclude that the empirical evidence shows that
not only did the Bush administration and other elements of the
government have a hand in 9/11, but they were instrumental in
orchestrating it! Are you aware of the studies of Professor Steven
Jones of BYU that say that thermite charges were used in the WTC
towers and the molten steel that was found on site?

Are you aware of Larry Silverstien - leaseholder entire WTC complex -
saying with regard to Building 7, which fell at 5:30pm on 9/11, that
he told the fire commander to "pull it", meaning to demolish the
building? Are you aware of any of this evidence?

Have you watched the collapse of the twin towers in realtime lately?
When you watch them after seeing some of these videos, you will never
see them the same way again... Steel i-beams being rapidly ejected
hundreds of feet laterally through the air. Those buildings were blown
up, sir.

What about the Pentagon and the missing plane? Why doesn't the
existing video of the strike on the Pentagon show an airplane? What
about the videos that were confiscated from the nearby hotels? What
about the other videos from the Pentagon? Why haven't they been
released to the public?

I want to know, sir, what are you going to do to help the American
people - 42% of us now - get the TRUTH about 9/11 and the so-called
'War on Terror'.

My vote hinges on your reply, Mr. Ellsworth. I honestly pray that you
take this seriously, because if you don't, you will find yourself in a
very sticky position when 50% or 60% of the people believe there was a
9/11 coverup.

The fact that this debate is even going on, I think, merits some sort
of response from you or from our Congress. You say you want to follow
the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission, but there is a growing
number of people like me who think the 9/11 Commission was, at best,
misled and inadequate and, at worst, woefully corrupt. I think that,
instead of blindly following the 9/11 Commission, you would be wise to
hold them up to the same scrutiny you would the Warren Commission if
you had been a Congressman in the early 1960s and your president had
just been shot to death on the streets of Dallas.

Below are a couple videos that illustrate the core of our concerns. I
humbly ask that you take a few moments of your time to watch at least
one of them and realize that at some point, if elected to Congress,
you are going to have to address these issues and not just do as the
status quo and party lines have thus far dictated and sweep them under
the rug for the sake of not rocking the boat.

9/11 Mysteries: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6708190071483512003

Loose Change: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5946593973848835726

If you so desire, I will send you DVD copies of all the 9/11
documentaries I have obtained.

I am interested in the truth, sir. That is all. I demand nothing more
of my leaders than the truth of our situation, and I think these
videos show that not only has that truth NOT come out, but it is being
actively suppressed.

My vote hinges on your response. A promise to work toward a new 9/11
investigation once in office and to repeal these unjust laws such as
the Patriot Act, the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act, and this
new law dismissing habeas corpus, will not only garner you my vote,
but will earn you a loyal constituent.

Thank you for your time, God bless, and good luck,

- Brad Linzy

(I'll post his response when and if I get one. I urge everyone who has similar concerns to email their candidates about them. If nothing else, it should be fun to see how they handle it.)

maybe because 42% isn't a majority?

dude, please get off the WTC conspiracy theory. I haven't logged on to uber in like six weeks and you are still harping on this shit. "Loose Change" is idiotic. It raises questions, yes; but it fails to answer any. It draws sensationalistic conclusions based on fragments of evidence; a lot of which has been debunked.

"Four days after the attacks, the FBI claimed to have found al-Suqami's passport among the rubble on Vesey Street. (This was mistakenly reported by many news outlets to be Mohammed Atta's passport) Some news organizations openly doubted this report, questioning the idea that his passport had escaped from the inferno relatively unsinged. According to testimony before the 9/11 Commission by lead counsel Susan Ginsburg, his passport had been "manipulated in a fraudulent manner". [3]

Letter to Brad Linzy, local Ubersite nutjob:

Dead Brad,

Now, I know the social distinction between an actual human being, and a complex digital system of internet aliases posting on a forum-layout webpage, can be confusing. But I'm here to set the record straight:

Ubersite is not Brad Ellsworth.

In most instances, confusing a congressman with a bunch of internet whackjobs like Habeeb, would be considered grounds for institutionalization. There is no significantly logical reason why one would ever think that this internet site is the battlefront for the Ellsworth political movement, nor would one think a letter addressed to Mr. Ellsworth would ever reach him via this forum. In most cases, supporting your government (and being a true patriot) by buying a 39-cent postage stamp, would be the appropriate way to send such a message.

I know you'd like that metaphorical cookie, Mr. Linzy, in sharing your ideas and concerns with the group of people you'd like to think are your peers, here at Ubersite. But the fact of the matter is, no one really gives a flying fuck what you have to say to a person who is in no way represented here. You sharing this information with the Ubersite populace is along the lines of me telling my roommate my dog back home knows how to roll over.

In addition, your repeated use of the "Loose Change" video has become quite diminished in its social effect. Let's try a political analogy, like the ones you'd see on the SATs:

Bill Clinton : Monica Lewinsky :: George W. Bush : "Loose Change"

Do you get my point?

I doubt you do, so I'll ellaborate.

Now, when examining Bill Clinton's presidency, there's really only one thing the Republicans can really bash him for: Lewinsky. It's been their ace-in-the-hole since it happened, even though he left office five years ago. But it's been old for quite a bit of that, and has very much since lost its meaning.

That is exactly what you are doing with this video "Loose Change."

Neither has anything to do at all with the effectiveness of their presidencies. So Bill Clinton got a BJ. If it had gone uncaught, his job performance would not have changed in the slightest. Likewise with "Loose Change." You may claim that this is the undeniable proof that 9/11 was a hoax, but in reality, it's all just trite, hyped-up bullshit. Just as many people would claim that Bill Clinton was an ineffective president because of his sexual prowess.

Summing up, Mr. Linzy...no one cares. At all. Think about your audience, for just one second.

Picture Habeeb. Oathmeal. Wiggles.

This is your audience. You are trying to preach politics to a bunch of internet losers with no real intelligence, who only want to post "HA HA RABBITs" and "FUSIONs." For Christ's sake, man, you're trying to get a man by the name of "ProfessorFuckFace" to take you seriously. Are you daft?

You want someone to listen, Mr. Linzy, try a politics forum. You'd make way better efforts there.

You are a single independent voter, you have little to no sway with a person running for office, no matter how much you think you do.

All you can cost him is 5-6 votes total, and I doubt that's enough to scare anyone into thinking or doing anything.

I won't get into it with you. I've seen the videos. Maybe there are some things that haven't been fully explained. However, a lot of stuff in those videos has been debunked by independent and credible investigation. I've looked at opinions from both sides, and I'm not one to immediately dismiss "conspiracy theories" as soon as I hear them. However, I've looked at a great deal of the evidence that is available to me and I've personally been more swayed by the evidence supporting the idea that the U.S. was not involved in the attacks on the World Trade Center. I don't trust the government, but I don't trust internet videos either.

Taking everything I've read and watched with a grain of salt, the evidence for a conspiracy is not strong enough. I'm educated and well-read. I'm not a sheep. You should respect my opinion if you want to be respected yourself.

Bob: You're probably right, but if he doesn't respond now, he's going to have a whole heap of trouble ome 2 years from now, because I will not only NOT vote for him, but I will make it my personal mission to combat him by word of mouth in this district. He can either make a friend or an enemy with his response or lack thereof. It's ultimately his choice.

Wiggles: I suggest if you think that's the only hand the government had in 9/11 that you watch one of the two video links I sent to Brad Ellsworth. Watch them and be enlightened. If nothing else, you have to admit there are serious questions that remain unanswered, and to turn a blind eye to them is not helping.

You are citing too many nutjob theories, and he WILL perceive it as bait - to which he won't take, out of fear that it would fall into 'enemy' hands and be used against him.

---------------------

He needs to reply, otherwise he will lose my vote and the votes of others in my city who share the same concerns.

I've got news for Mr. Ellsworth, I'm not the only one in Evansville, Indiana who has such questions, and I think it would be in his best interest to address them.

Turning a blind eye to the issue will hurt him in the end. In the event that he does win a seat in Congress this time around, and he refuses to address these issues, he will find that in 2 years time, the wound will have festered in the 8th district as moer and more people wake up to the 9/11 coverup and the fake 'war on terror'.

The truth doesn't adhere to our limited notions of 'left' and 'right'. Anyone who thinks it does is an uneducated simpleton.

I don't want America to be a 'leftist' or communist country any more than the most staunch of Republican pundits, but, unlike them, I have no party affiliation and I DO want the truth about 9/11 to come out and justice against those that helped perpetrate it to be served.

It is no secret that many in the 9/11 Truth Movement posit that those events were likely a neo-con influenced operation, with evidence of this including, but not limited to, the statements made by the neo-con think tank The Project for a New American Century, but the movement endorses no party or political ideal beyond the one found in the U.S. Constitution.

The so-called 'neo-cons' aren't even real conservatives. They are just empirialistic and oligarchical assholes.

D_Prime, as far as I can tell, you're a young kid who still believes the world can be defined with a few convenient categories. While I somewhat envy your ignorance and the bliss that accompanies it, I pity your limited point of view and hope that one day your mind outgrows it, lest you become another misinformed adult ready and willing to sacrifice his rights at the alter of fear.

Hooray! You're getting prospective members of government to think you're crazy too! Guess you must have gotten tired of convincing everyone on Uber and are aiming your sights a bit higher now.

`(e)(1) No court, justice, or judge shall have jurisdiction to hear or consider an application for a writ of habeas corpus filed by or on behalf of an alien detained by the United States who has been determined by the United States to have been properly detained as an enemy combatant or is awaiting such determination.

....or is awaiting such determination....hmmm....

`(26) WRONGFULLY AIDING THE ENEMY- Any person subject to this chapter who, in breach of an allegiance or duty to the United States, knowingly and intentionally aids an enemy of the United States, or one of the co-belligerents of the enemy, shall be punished as a military commission under this chapter may direct.

....how can an alien breach 'an alligiance or duty to the United States'? If you're not a US citizen, you have no allegiance or duty to the US, by definition...

"...This leads me to my second question...

You constantly decry the lack of intelligence of the American people, and yet you use their uneducated paranoia to bolster your idiotic political rants. You and the other shit posters are the reason I find more and more difficult to read Ubersite anymore.

Er, I said nothing about parties or whatever. I said 'left,' as it's a leftist attitude.

Allow me to clarify my ignorant comment: THE SAME THING IS BEING SAID OVER AND OVER AGAIN; I'M BORED.

The repetitive and boring whining about nonsense movement does (you are correct) not know any party.

If ignorant blowhards such as yourself would open you're fucking eyes, maybe there would be enough support to initiate a change.

The 9/11 Truth movement is not partisan.

Justice knows no party.

I'd also go so far as to say that former president Clinton needs to be investigated for his possible knowledge and participation in the Oklahoma City bombing. There are serious questions that have also been raised about that event, as well as the first WTC bombing, where FBI involvement seems certain, according to taped conversations by one of the participants.

Corruption doesn't stop at the line that separates the parties, and any efforts to politicise the 9/11 Truth Movement, as is displayed by d_prime's ignorant comment below, will eventually fail. Why? Because the evidence speaks for itself.

Dude, you have to disguise your nutjob status until at least the 4th paragragh.

Either this thing went right into the trash, or you'll get a boilerplate 'we are looking into your concerns' reply.

---------------------

A reply I might expect from an already elected Congressman such as Hostettler, but not from a congressional hopeful like Ellsworth.

The time for rhetoric is over. If Mr. Ellsworth refuses to address my concerns, I will simply vote for his opponent out of spite under the assumption that he has no interest in true change.

Good deed. The Tyranny Act scares the shit out of me.
I've been trolling through all the writing for the last week, and was appalled at the lack of discussion on the matter. Appalled.
I only hope the American people have the strength and gumption to pull it together, because the president's power is slowly beginning to trump everything individual citizens have going for them.
I'm interested to see if you'll receive a reply.
