This post was a double-forfeit. So... we go to a regular "final four" format! (As previously stated.) Yay!
According to official D-Prime Madness administration, Beano was supposed to have a specific "drive-by" rating disregarded. However, seeing as he won anyway, my policy is not to spend time calculating what his rating would have been; although seeding for the next round might have changed... this only could have meant switching places with Jared, in which case they face each other anyway... so Jared's home-ice advantage MIGHT be unfair (I haven't checked) so good thing this isn't hockey. The important thing is that we proved that the system worked; thanks Bubba.
Meaning that the "final four" winners are...

Well, I'm out. But that's okay. I am the lord of awesome without winning the contest. I've already made plans for the next D-Prime Madness... put a little more work into making it public... defining the ultimate format based on what I've learned in my (and Darko's) past experiences... and more. I may also bury the hatchet with UberMadness in order to be more constructive. OR NOT! I expect it to (being quite serious now) be a great contest, not that these ones aren't but... IV will be special in our hearts.

prime, I'm not sure I have a complaint... I was drunk for most of last week so I would ignore most of what I said.
I did have one complaint.... timelines!
You gave us next to no time, but then it was all relative I suppose.

I have sympathy for Woody and feel no malice. However, if his post fails in some way, it is his own responcibility. And we can't predict what the ratings would have been had the content been visible. If drive-bys make a difference, I'll account for those. However, that one merely doesn't leave a comment doesn't make it a "drive-by;" we need some sort of evidence that it was an "ad hominen" rating made for personal reasons.

Sorry I wasn't here for a couple days. I don't know what to say for sure. My cheapo computer
wouldn't display it, but I gave up after 7 minutes. Dial-up sucks!!
The reviews showed that some people could see the picture, so I think the negative ratings from
those who couldn't see the picture are a bunch of bullshit. Also, both competitors' posts received
"-2 No Comment" drive-bys, so I think those cancel.
Prime, I think this is your call, but my opinion, late though it may be, is that Woody got boned...

Beano, what exactly is your complaint?
Although this one lacked drama (at least on the "Ubersite content competition" scale) the saga needs to be tweeked so that DPM IV and can be the ultimate, perfect D-Prime Madness. I have plans.

Having said that I have +2 on one post and JMG has +2 on 12 or so post, so he still wins because he got more reviews than me,
I;m disapointed though.... I thought this was a writers comp and it's not. it's banal shite (other than JMG who granted wrote a ghood post but it was a 1 on my ratng)... no-one else gives a shit.
Rant over, i'm pissed and fucked off that i lost.
My story was pretty good, maybe didnt deserve to win... but I'm happy to lose to such an adversary as JMG... but stilll... d-prime... take a look man.
