But seriously, on the Football arguement, if you explain to me why it is "football" when only 1 or 2 players kick the ball, out of a team of ???, I will be happy to return and drop a +2 on this post.

A long time ago, a football game was held between McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and Harvard College. Unfortunately, the two schools played different sports under the same name. McGill played, for all intents and purposes, rugby, while Harvard played what we now call soccer.
The two teams met on the playing field totally confused by the situation, but resolved to play two games; one rugby, one soccer.
The Harvard players LOVED rugby, and so they meshed together the rules of the two different games. That game was the earliest version of American football. Kicking was still a major part of the game.
Over time, the game evolved. The forward pass was not introduced until 50 years later. The name stuck just because nobody cared enough to change it because, honestly, it didn't matter.

Did you know that Fosters is not even Orstralian? Well it's not. It's brewed in Canada. I was highly disappointed when I found out.
