Yes, this is still going on.
No, it's not the final round yet.
Due to my oversight last week the herd was rounded back out to eight writers, which means we've two more rounds to go before handing anyone a crown of bone and gore.
That said, some notes on round 3:
- There was another matchup with perfect +2 streaks for both writers. What's more: each post had 18 unique +2s, so it came down to hits in the end. Well done, BigMike and Stag. Sad to see one of you go.
- Don't get matched up with Voltage. He'll pay someone to kneecap you or put itching powder in your underwear and make it uncomfortable for you to write. My money's on him winning it all without putting a notch on his belt.
- This round's matchups were really close. Considering that UberMadness is going on, I'm really impressed by the quality of the entries so far. Everyone's got a lot on their plate, but people are still bringing their A games. Well, at least their A- games.
Now, to business. The Round 4 matchups, as drawn at random from the Boston Red Sox Hat of Baseball Season is Almost Over and I Weep for What Money May Be Spent in the Offseason:

Final Round writers announced Friday, OCTOBER 27.
