What are you doing it for? What is your motivation to continually surf across the crest of these things with the threat of rejection right below you? Why do you come back, why do you punch the keys that lead you to an inevitable circle.

Why do you continue?
Acceptance. A word that changes lives. A reaction that would cause us to do anything. Demoralize ourselves in hateful and shameful teasing. Fornicate with sin to repel those that might see through your eyes into the inner truth. Fear. Fear of not being accepted, ever and anywhere.
Approval. As we continually thrust ourselves downward in the social food chain for our conformities we are whipped by the world and society for our non-conformities. Rule sets such as Grammer, Laws, Censorship; things that restrict communication, freedom, and art. We dare to be different, within certain confines of course. Who wants to be different, if it means being all alone?
Attention. Here, I have a voice. Here, we all have a voice. We also have the ability to control what kind of voice we deliver. A voice of hate, a voice of genius, a voice of passion, a voice of annoyance. Either way, I continue to crawl from the depths of silence to do the only thing that I've wanted, nay, even needed, to continue. Reaction. A voice is spoken for one reason alone, and that is to be heard. The audience you subconsciously choose for your voice however is an entirely different story.
My conscious tells me that I have at one time stayed awake refreshing my screen awaiting a comment to satisfy all three of the above reasons in any given time. However, I have progressed my way of thinking to include a term that one graduates to when something is left unfinished here in Ubersite. Completion. Yet no matter how high you seemingly climb the ladder, three core reasons will keep you from falling from your ranking.
Failure to understand this renders you useless.
Why do you log into Ubersite? Dare to say a different reason beyond what is mentioned above, and I say you fail to see truth. Why?

you make sense but you can get those three anywhere. any place you'll stay long enough, you become part of the 'scene'.
sure some people like jaypig are lonely and they are here for what you mentionned because life hates them. but this is really just entertaining. to me anyway. there is some priceless shit on this website. for my taste it's insults but others enjoy it for stories, comedy and whatnot.

Attention, certainly.
Acceptence? Not really, but being liked is always a good thing. Random +2s from yer uber 'pals' while meaningless and trivial do tend to leave me with a smile... and I am keen to return the favour.
Approval - ish. It is nice to have certain perspectives and opinions agreed with... but I don't fret if someone doesn't like me. I happen to find honest, well measured -2s quite refreshing. (however rare.)
Amusement would have been a good one "a" letter to include.
Enjoyable.
