It was a dark time in the galaxy of Uber, the evil Darth Sicosemen had exerted a strangle hold of tyranny over the Uberians. There was only one hope for the galaxy: The Superfriends!
EPISODE XXIV
"The Darkest Hour"
The leader of the Superfriends, Master Paint_it_black, was gone, banished by the evil Emperor Bartbart. The Superfriends were left in disarray, leaderless and without direction.
Poor Shine Box was taking it the hardest. He had come to think of Master Paint_it_black as a father. Fortunately, Master Allyson had taken him on as a padawan learner.
Masters Oathmeal and 8track were out on a fact finding mission to try to discover where Master Paint_it_black could have gone.
In all the confusion, it was left to Master Frankthebear to assume command until Master Paint_it_black returned. Unfortunatley, there wasn't much to do in the meantime. The Emperor and Darth Sicosemen hadn't found the Superfriend's secret base yet.
Only a day ago, there had been a glimpse of hope that the Superfriends might win this war. Darth Sicosemen had gone missing. Without the dark lord of the -2die, the emperor would be almost defenseless. But then Darth Sicosemen had returned without explanation.
Master Frankthebear was practising with his lightsaber, it's green blade scorching through flying targets and robotic sparring dummies. Frankthebear moved through the course with an almost balletic grace. He cleared the course and was about to set the difficulty level higher when the door opened.
In walked Master Thorpe. Master Frankthebear greeted him with a bow. "What do you have to report, Master Thorpe?"
"Master 8track has just returned with Master Oathmeal. They have found no trace of Master Paint_it_black."
"Blast!" said Frankthebear in frustration. He took a moment to calm his emotions. This was no time to lose control. "Then we must carry on without him. Assemble the Superfriends in the war room in fifteen minutes. It's time we took the initiative." Master Thorpe bowed and left the training chamber.
There was only one reason why Master Paint could not be found: The Emperor Bartbart mast have him. Master Frankthebear intended to get him back.
In the war room were gathered the remaining Superfriends. Master Allyson and her apprentice Shine Box, Masters 8track, Oathmeal, Fungah, and Thorpe.
Missing were Masters Stlxs and Forthewin. They were on the other side of the Uber galaxy looking for others to join their ranks. But there were too few people with the potential to be Superfriends. Their cause looked hopeless.
Master Frankthebear stepped up to the front of the room, but it didn't feel right. This was Master Paint_it_black's place. Frankthebear wanted to finish this as soon as possible and get out of this room.
"My friends," he began, "The time for secrecy has ended. We have lost Master Paint_it_black." There was a low murmer from around the room. "We have had no word from him, and we have had no luck in finding him. We must therefor assume that he is being held prisoner by the Emperor."
There was total silence in the room now. Master Frankthebear could almost feel every pair of eyes on him now, waiting for him to lead them. Only as long as I must, he thought.
"We must attack the Emperor's fortress and free Master Pain_it_black."
Without a word, the Superfriends rose as one. Frankthebear knew what he must do, but only this once, the thought, please never again. He drew his lightsaber and activated it, and holding it up, he cried out: "Superfriends-Unite!"
The Superfriends held up their lightsabers, "Superfriends!" they cried.

After a journey through hyperspace, the arrived in orbit around the home world of the Emperor. The planet Cilfone was a harsh and desolate place.
There was a rumor that it had once been a green and beutiful planet, but no more. The Emperor had allowed Darth Sicosemen to use the power of -2die to make it a wasteland.
The Superfriends flew their ships past the garrison in orbit and landed a short way from the Emperor's palace. Drawing their lightsabers, they began their approach. Master Frankthebear looked at the Superfriends, they looked back at him. They were waiting for him to lead the way.
"This is it, Superfriends," he said. "I can't give you any advice but to remember everything Master Paint_it_black has taught us. Trust in the +2 and watch your backs. Darth Sicosemen could be anywhere."
"Indeed he could!" rasped a voice from above them. The Superfriends looked up to see the shadowy form of Darth Sicosemen standing on a boulder, a blood-red lightsaber in a black gloved hand.
He leaped down and sent the Superfriends flying in all directions with a powerful -2die blast.
"HAHAHAHAHA! You fools thought you were a match for me!? I've already defeated your master, what could you possibly hope to do to stop me?"
