Julianna Wetmore: Courageous Young Girl or Outrageous Young Abomination, We Report, You Decide
The birth of a child is normally a happy occasion, full of joy and hope for the future. Sometimes however it is an occasion for sadness, for weeping and for burlap sacks full of rocks (and babies) and a trip to the lake. Stillbirths and miscarriages are examples of these sad births. Same with the birth of Julianna Wetmore.

Basically her problem is thus:

Juliana, was born with a birth defect called Treacher Collins Syndrome, she is missing 30-40% of the bones in her face. Juliana has been through 21 surgeries and will undergo an unknown number in the future years.

Now, instead of doing what any sane person would do and quietly disposing of the fucking thing into the medical waste bin out back of the hospital, the parents decided to raise it as A GODDAMN HUMAN BEING! AND MAKE A FUCKING WEBSITE ABOUT HER!!

Anyway I started thinking about what this poor beast of a girl could do in the future in the way of a job or career once her parents die or she escapes from her shackles in the attic. I think we can all safely assume this young Juliana is not going to ever meet Prince Charming, nor even Prince Shit-Bag. We can also safely assume she won't be working in the porn or food service industry or where there are any interactions with human beings at all.

Jack, her dad's in the military, so the U.S. taxpayers are paying for all of her operations. (After which, even the doctors admit, she won't be anywhere near normal enough to even function on her own in society.) And to locksly, Something Awful did a piece on this girl a couple months back, so it's not like people aren't discussing this already. Her parents did put up that site, after all. They didn't have to make her a public spectacle, but they chose to anyway. I guess it wasn't enough for them to get all that free medical care, they had to show the world what selfless, suffering saints they are.
The poor thing has to eat and breathe through a tube in her fucking neck! And to top it all off, people with this syndrome also have normal intelligence. I hate to say it, but it probably would've been a blessing to her if she was born severely retarded. But hey, her parents were thoughtful enough to at least have the deafness she was born with corrected! Now she can hear every horrible thing people say (punctuated by the screams of terrified children), and with her normal intelligence, understand every word of it.
I think her stupid parents should just cut the bullshit, put her in a big pickle jar, and start pimping her ass out for Halloween parties. You know they want to.

I remember a few years ago when I was talking to a family friend, she told us how when she was pregnant with her youngest son the Dr. encouraged her to get an abortion. There was a problem with his stomach being on theoutside of his body, and perhaps having a hole. The kid is 5 and perfect. I used to look at that and think if I was in a similiar position I would risk it.
