Dear Ubersite,
I've been around for a while, as a 'lurker' if that's the right term.
Most of my ratings have been confined to Bob's posts, just because I happen to like his style and content more than most. But recently I decided to switch it up a bit and actually post some of my own stuff.
My first one, here: http://www.ubersite.com/m/95107 ... didn't do so well. I guess I thought a bit too highly of myself for some of you? Lesson learned.
My second one involved far less effort yet yielded a higher overall rating. WTF OMG BBQ is up with that? I think then that the recipe for a well-received foster post is 1 part Ween and .2 parts effort?
Not sure.
What I AM sure of, however, is that I love this site. I love (abridged) -
Shlongy's unconditional casting of corrosive aspersions
Method's proclivity to stir shit up regardless the consequences
Orgasmatron's neverending talent for creating entertaining poetry (NOT an easy task)
ETS' thick skin and undeniable intellect (congrats on getting hitched, by the way)
Jack McCallum's lucid albeit ALWAYS too short short stories
Habeeb's MSPaint skills and addiction to the Bears Woo
Jgreening's introspective yet depressing rants and stories
JohnnyX's fascination with women's undergarments
Apollo's humor (I ALWAYS laugh when I read his stuff)
... and I especially enjoy the way new posters are treated. Really. It's pure joy watching them have their asses handed to them. Why, after all I'm still holding my own, unsure of whether I should stitch it back on or leave it bleeding in my hands for you all to laugh at.
So, anyway.
I suppose this post is little more than me introducing myself and expressing my gratitude for everything that you all contribute to this agglomeration of wit, hate, humor, sex, poo, emus, -2's, umlauts, attachments, MVA's and inside jokes called Ubersite.
