I thought it was fairly humorous and beg to differ with rad's interpretation that this was simply a gay joke. While gay jokes tend to be lame and unfunny in general, I feel that the humor in this piece was centered around Neil Patrick Harris's (likely fictional) sense of self-importance and his assumption that everyone should know who he was (whilst the reporter did not) and should care deeply what his sexual preference is (which most people probably do not).
