"There's this lamppost outside my house, and the bulb is gone, and then again it's not. It flickers on and off all day and night, of course it doesn't bother me during the day for obvious reasons. At night though, it draws me in, I just can't help but stare at it, and play games with it, stupid games. I wish the council would fix the fucking light.
My shrink says I'm a blamer. Basically I just blame everyone around me for all my problems, and I'm sure that there are real scientific words I could use, but I'm a layman, so don't treat me like a fucking scholar, I'm a blamer.
I'm not a blamer; I'm a goddamned realist...albeit a pessimistic one. You see I was born into mediocrity. My family was never the top of anything, but then again we never aimed for the top, we were the 'always doing our best' family. So yeah fuck you, that's why maybe I'm not so great, and maybe that's why I'm never going to be on more than a mediocre salary. I don't give a shit though, that's life.
I'm not upset, and no, I don't want pity, I just don't want people to think that I'M the failure, because life failed me, I never had the chance to fail it. I was always there, waiting for it to cut me some slack, but it never did.
Midway through my final year at university my girl left me for a friend, because I was 'too busy working', fuck you! Holy shit I'm the only one who went there to work? So why did she leave me huh? Why do I feel like life shat on me, when I had tried moving on?
Did I tell you my mum died when I was fourteen? How is that fair? Can you explain this to me; fucking hell I hate that mother fucking light. I swear to God...God...fuck him too. All he did was make me feel guilty, for not succeeding, even though I never got the chance.
You're all sitting there moaning at a self-perpetuated image of me, well that's not me. You don't know me, so don't try and judge me. You know, I bet NO one in this world has had to deal with the same things I have."

As for your girl leaving you...well seriously the old sayings are true, and believe me when I tell you, you'd be the only fucking guy in the world who didn't get all bent out of shape over girl at some point.

About your girl. Women are crazy. Don't try to understand them. It can be done, but it takes a certain kind of person to do it, and that's not you. I say you do as you please, and let the femmes come to you.
As for your shitty job. Go into technology. They are really easy classes and you get paid a lot for sitting on your ass all day. You can work less and still make more.
Life never gives anyone a break. Those with money are treated like shit because they have money, and those without it, are treated like shit because they have none. The difference is who has the better lamp in the house is always the rich person.

Right....are people getting more and more stupid or is just me?
1. This was fiction.
2. You were meant to dislike the guy for his self infactuated and selfish out look on life.
3. The character was meant to have the 'life owes me' out look on life. Hence he's a blamer
If you didn't see that, then I feel sorry for you. Unfortunatly if you don't reply, you'll look stupid and if you do you'll look even more stupid. I'm not one to mock/ pick fights or insult, so don't take what I just said the wrong way.

...arent you using realism and life not handing you the oppertunities you think you deserve as blame for where you are now?
besides, playing the "my life is shittier than yours" game doesnt work, i can name offthe top of my head a dozen people that has had it worse than you, myself included.
...jsut bust the bulb, and itll get fixed, and if it doesnt, well its not blinking in either case.
what makes you more deserving of the hand outs of life... nobody "owes" you anything
the train of oppertunity doesnt stop to pick people up
there are 2 kinds of people in this world.... those that are born on the train of oppertunity and get stuff handed to them
and those that have to stand by the tracks so you can grab on as it passes and hold onto it till you fall off, or climb in
