I love Vancouver. When I lived in Seattle, I used to go up there with my friends. They not only have the best, most high-grade pot in abundance, but you can buy codeine-based products over the counter there. It's a stoner's Shangri-La.

Vancouver has the absolute nicest airport I've ever been in. It's especially nice if you've just spent 15 hours flying over most of the Pacific Ocean.

Both are true. And yes, the Canucks games get you laid. I've seen it happen once. DIX pub is the best place to go before hand as you can eat peanuts and throw them on the floor and there is plenty of beer since it is a micro brewery.

Any recommendations on nightlife for three guys in from the east coast?

Badlands, just go for a wander down Granville Street in the heart of downtown and I'm sure you'll find something to enjoy.
That's if you like the club thing.
If you prefer the bar scene I'd check out the Cambie Hostel -- they have cheap drinks and picnic table seating which pretty much guarantees you'll meet some new drunken friends.

The Frog and Firkin is pretty decent for football games, decent waitresess and cold beer. Food is not so bad either. Kits has a lot of pubs. The clubs in this city are pretty lame unless you are into lame clubs. That and you can get shot up by an east indian gang member for spilling your drink. I prefer to go to a pub where you can still bum a smoke or a lighter and no one walks up to you to fight simply because your wife has a nice set of tits.

keep the bars for the drinkers and good time boys.
