There used to be absinthe in the bottle all the way up to the neck. Now there is not. I woulod like to say that this is whu I am putting no fucking effort into this cocksucking bandwagon, but really it's just because I couldn't give a fuck anyway. Cunts.
And you see, it's THAT.
THAT is what I'm talking about. It's this goddam city that made me the way I am. It's this goddam fucking city that made me a bitter, cynical cunt. I'm a mysinthrope because of this fucking city. I have no respect for politics or ideological purotu because of this fucking festering shithole of a city. I have no respect for religion because of this fucvking city.
I am a jaded teenager with no hope for the concilation of human nature because of this goddam city. There's only so many times you can switch on the news and hear a young man had his throat slit for qearing a celtic shirt in the wrong area of town before you start to see humans as lumps of smegma with legs. Although at least the good friday agreement did one thing. We're no longer top of the UK murders per capita league table.
Now that we're all; being fucking friendly and only kneecapping the ocassional taig, we've dropped to third behind glasgow and london, or so they say.
There is no art in this city, no culture, no real sense of outlook or hope or creaitivity. It is stifled under the crushing weight of an opressive fog...a fog of fucking insatiable and unfounded hate that has gone on far too long for these liquid shites we call humans to ever have a hope of stopping....
They get one of ours with a fist, we get one of theirs with a bottle.
Then they get one of ours with a knife, so we take hammers to one of theirs.
You see?
Horrible stinking swine, nasty bald thugs with aspirations of glory and a religious fevour disguising a disgusting bigotry and a hideous greed that consumes them...King and COuntry become Guns and Drugs...these are not people, these snarling swine...they are lower than animals, lower than the worms that crawl through the earth and eat dirt...if there was any justic in the world, these fucks would be dead and burning in whatever hell they pretend to believe in when they crouch in their church confessing the sins they undertake in the name of hatred and money and power and the grudge.
Fuck them, and fuck you too. I'm going to bed.

Whoops, doesn't work.
http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Cahill was his boss
http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Steele was his best friend, and they served time at Crumlin together

He was arrested without trial or jury in 1935 and incarcerated in Crumlin Road until 1940. He says he and his comrades were tortured, and I believe it; I wasn't around, but it's family history.
He was arrested with five other men in the early 1940s, and sentenced to death for murder. The British hung only one man, http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Williams , and public opinion was so great that the others were given short terms or released.

I've been there.
My uncle was from Ballymurphy, and was one of a long line of IRA in the area. He was up with Joe Cahill and Jimmy Steele, and was arrested without trial and tortured for five years in Crumlin Road Prison. When he was a kid, my uncle used to keep watch for his dad during the IRA meetings, making sure cops wouldn't come.
He was nearly hanged for killing a RUC, but was acquitted in a peace agreement. He fled the country in either '52 or '54, and kept his head down in Manhattan.
He's twenty feet away from me right now.

Well, call me cynical, but...
'was one of a long line of IRA in the area'
He was one of a long line of Irish Republican Army in the area? IRA *men*, don't you mean? And how long was this line, exactly, given that the IRA was only founded in the early years of the 20th centaury?
Tortured for 5 years? What, 5 straight years, every day? 5 straight years once a week? On and off over 5 years of jail? Tortured half a dozen times during his five years in jail? Tortured upon arrival? Tortured once during the 5 years?
Which peace agreement? There were precious few in the mid 1900's...and certainly none I've heard of that would release a killer...and like the other bloke said, why should he have to hide in Manhattan? Why not just live there? Who in America is he hiding *from*?
It *could* be true, aye, but the story stinks like week-old fish, thus I called bullshit.

I call shenanigins and bullshit on this tale.
Aso, Von, the burnt shit would have been from the 12th July celebrations, where Prods all over Northern Ireland get together and burn massive heaps of junk and wood and stand around the fires getting drunk and occassionally throwing things at police. It celebrates an old battle where they beat the taigs, so they say, but really it's a vicious excuse for these swine to get mean&drunk and act crazy.

I have been there. And got shot. I am not kidding. It was with a pellet gun from long range. I was looking at the murals. It was late July/early August (can't remember to this day, jesus fuck was I ever drunk), and this parking lot was filled to the brim with burnt crap.I was just like, "fuckers", and continued on my way. It's an interesting place.

I've visited twice.
My stepmom's Catholic cousin was shot five times, driving a Protestant girl home from a date. That was a long time ago.
A couple years ago, the same family lost a young friend to the wrong end of a broken beer bottle, for having the wrong name in the wrong bar.
It's sad to know that such a beautiful place is such a dangerous one.
