Nice, though it always helps to have more info on the subject, I suppose. After all there are probably a million books on the very subject.

There can only be absolutes. Time is linear and when something happens it does not unhappen. When something happens, it happens for a reason, whether or not we know it. Just because we're are ignorant to what happened and why doesn't mean that it didn't, only that we're unaware of it.
Of course, our perceptions influence what eventually becomes absolute, but history and occurences are absolute, current morals and opinions are not.

the old 'tree falls in the woods' thing. I disagree. If it's never percieved, it didn't happen.
Oh...and don't let me forget:
Shut the fuck up, Maltese.

We percieve the earth as round today just as much as we believed it was flat hundreds of years ago. Perception is reality and there can be no ultimate truth of reality because anyone attempting to comprehend it has their own perceptions on it.
Something that I've always thought of:
What if you and I both see a red dress and we both call the color of that dress red...but the color our minds interpret are actually different from one another?
There can be no absolute reality. Therefore perception creates every ounce of reality. It just so happens we percieve things similarly, for the most part. But we are simple creatures. What if the Earth isn't round or flat? Our perception limits our definitions and, thus, limits 'reality'.
I am a big fan of twinkies.

However, let me say one thing. The Flat-Earth theory was disproved in Ancient Greece, not 1492. People on both sides of the Atlantic were able to observe the planet was round because of the stars, and that ships disappeared hull first going over the horizon.

The only way this could have been funnier is if you had ended it with both rabbits getting run over by a mobile home.
There's something ironic in the idea of two intelligent beings meeting their end to the universally accepted symbol of trashiness.

Actually, the last time she was "officially" weighed by a vet she came in at 12 lbs. Course that was almost a year ago, she may be a bit bigger now.

I wonder if mine will ever be that big.

Time is linear
___________
Not according to Messrs Hawking and Keitz. Have you read "A Brief History..." yet? Hawking's explanation of a 3D spacetime sphere that goes from a big bang to a big crunch and back is about 400 miles over my head.

Oh, and the fact that science can only measure something within a certain degree doesn't mean that it isn't an absolute length, it means only that we cannot find it. Quite simply, things can only BE and if they're being, then they have to be SOMETHING. Once again, just because we don't know what exactly that is doesn't mean that it's not absolute.
