[Note: I know I've already posted today, but I just wanted to point out the injustices going on in China right now.]
It doesn't matter exactly where you come from. Even in the most repulsive of cultures, cannibalism still stands taboo. It doesn't really take much common sense to know that people aren't meant to eat other people. Jeffrey Dahmer and that gay German guy who ate his lover are good examples of this - neither have common sense.
However, cannibalism is alive and well, and practiced by the world's most populated country? Yes, I shit you not - some people eat newborn babies in China, always females. China's infamous "one-child" policy, combined with the fact that the Chinese tend to view females as second-class citizens, is the cause of this. If a family gives birth to a newborn girl, they have no choice to either put it up for adoption or kill the baby. There are cannibals who adopt from the adoption agency, simply for the purpose of killing and eating the baby as soon as the baby gets home (adoptions are instantaneous in China - no paperwork). They cook them alive, cut them open, take out the edible parts (muscles), cook it, and eat it.
Here is a collage and description of such cannibalism. I came close to vomiting while putting this together, so the least you could do is gaze upon this grisly side of humanity.

You seem to have an obsession with dead babies and the various methods with which they're killed.
Hey kid, you'll like this, once we had this woman up in Labor and Delivery. She got to full term then the baby died inside her. Anyway, by the time she finally decided to come into the hospital so they could get it out of her, she had walked around for a week or so with a dead baby inside her. Apparently, she didn't want to admit even to herself that the baby died.
So, after a C-Section, the remains were to go for chromosomal analysis to try to figure out what the hell happened.
Guess where the remains went first? Uh huh, that's right! To the lab!
Although the body was wrapped when it came to me, I had to rewrap it, fill out the paper work, and ship it out.
The first few layers of skin had already begun rotting away. I had to be extra careful because the body was so fragile, it could have fallen to pieces in my hands.
Now, as fixated as you are on this shit, imagine being that mother, carrying around a decomposing infant in her uterus!
Wow.
Of course, the whole thing also caused her to go septic! She was in the hospital for about a month getting well.
Horrible shit is going on all the time.

In a culture truly free of taboos, eating of the dead in a nonritual matter would be accepted. Is there any reason barring superstition of burning the dead or putting them in the ground? Of course I'm talking from a hypothetical standpoint, but if all corpses were recycled, or used for science or eaten it would be a lot more environmentally friendly. But I'm talking out of my ass.
