I figured out the problem behind my writer's block, also known as my lack of posts for a long time. My last post was the god awful upcoming Uberversary clip show I slammed together in about four minutes. The one before that was an installment of Safe and Secure -Or- The Remora, a story I've been writing for a long tim. I'm enjoying writing it, but ever since I got fired from this Florida theme park, I haven't been able to write.
I previously thought that alcohol was my muse. But as I am deliciously hammered right now, and looking up every couple of seconds to check what I have written, I still have nothing ficticious to throw out there. I think it's my horrible manual labor job that's causing my block. I work in a steel shop now. I take 40 foot pieces of steel and cut them apart into smaller sections, punch holes in them, and sometimes weld studs onto them. Those handsome sons of bitches don't like being welded to metal, but they have to deal with it. ZING!
I consider myself pretty smart, though sometimes lacking in certain other departments, mostly social ability and wordy wit, but I am, sadly, a fucking mental prodigy compared to everyone in that fucking corporation. These people know steel. They know NOTHING else. I saw a guy I work with confused at his soft tire in the parking lot after work one day. He was freaking out about the cost of fixing it. Yep, that 75 cents at 7-11 is going to break you on your goddamned $14 dollar an hour wages, right?
So obviously, my muse is encountering thousands of random people from around the world on a daily basis.
And now: My hero, Good old Asian Sam of Appliance Direct.

I know what you'r problem is. It isn't the alcohol, it's when and how and why it's written. If you're drunk you may be good at 4:am if you didn't go to sleep, but if you're drunk and wake up at 4:am, it might suck. It's about time, placement, and you. When do you function best, and how can you make it better?
