This is a message
to all who are blessed with
family and friends who weren't selfish
but selfless
and stood up for a cause
that all you deemed senseless
now you protest against conflicts
that don't seem to have endings
young women and men
serve a president's beckon
while he's sending more children
to do his dirty deeds for him
whether in agreement or not
they fight with ferocity
and they don't give two shits
about sharing democracy
hypocrisy hovers
over every essay
that someone else wrote
for him to read on the tv
and all they believe in
is that they're doing what's right
until they turn on the news
and see you every night
hypocrites march on
the lawn with their pickets
as they play the life lottery
and cash in losing tickets
because to them this is life
and this isn't a game
and you are the reason
they're all dying in vain
while you wave white flags for them
with yellow bows on your cars
with nothing but papercuts
as your own battlescars
taking for granted having

soldiers make their last stand
ex-soldiers/now cops
try to get you to disperse

Sounds like you won't be satisfied whether they support you or not. I think society needs people to fight (speaking generally, not about any specific war, mind you), but it also needs people to stay home and work and keep doing what they are doing.

YOU'RE the disillusioned hypocrites who were so easily duped into thinking this war was about something other than revenge. You didn't give two shits about WMD... you wanted blood and you got some fucking blood. If you're a Brit, Aussie, Canadian, or any other nationality that is not American, I couldn't give two shits what you think about the war. Your opinion on this matter means dick to me. First of all I have never needed a cop, nor would I ever turn to a cop for protection. They are never there when the rape is occurring, or when your stereo is being stolen; they are useless as a direct form of protection. I know there are some good cops, but even the good ones are more useless than they themselves believe. The problem is that the majority of cops are ignorant assholes as you have proven. About 8% of the population consists of sociopaths. How much of the law enforcement profession falls into this category? An estimated 20% of law enforcement officers are sociopaths. Sociopaths often crave power, and they are found in career positions that fulfill this need.
Just for the record, I was always against the war in Iraq.
