I'm so fat. I wish I could eat whatever I wanted like other people and not get fat. I can't even look at a cookie without gaining weight. I've always been this way. I have a terrible metabolism. I've tried everything. It's not fair!
I hate my job. I wish I made more money. I know people that don't work half as hard as I do and get paid twice as much. My boss is an asshole. I work with idiots.
I'm lonely. I have no friends. Men are such creeps, why can't I meet a decent guy? Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
If you're a middle-class citizen of the United States, you have so much control over your life—the way you feel, the way you look, where you live, where you work, who your friends are. People who use God and fate as excuses for the courses their lives take are contemptible. No one has more control over what happens to you than YOU, so shut the fuck up and take responsibility for your problems.
There's virtually no reason to whine about things you can change. Are you a fat slob? Obesity is only a mystery to people who remain uneducated about health and nutrition. Find a calorie counter online. Check out library books on hypoglycemia. Make it a priority to go to the gym. Hate your job? Rewrite and send out your resume. Lonely? Maybe you should examine yourself and figure out why people don't want to be around you, or why you can't maintain a relationship.
In a country that recognizes personal rights and allows considerable social mobility, issues like this can be greatly improved or eliminated with persistence on your part. The solution is mental power, and if you let it be that simple, it IS that simple. People who resign themselves to monotonous and thoughtless routines, exhaustion, fear of the unknown, or to the imagined manipulation of some larger force, ask for the problems that affect them and, consequently, should accept them with their mouths shut.
Chances are that you are at the root of your own unhappiness.

I start the day with a Triple Whopper for breakfast and a Quad Stacker for lunch. I love fast food, and home cooked meals as long as they are huge. I don't think I've gained wait since 9th grade. Also my metabolism is so fast my weight varies by 5 lbs throughout the day (depending on how long since the last time I ate it's been).

I believe this post is a rather pedestrian generalisation, but I deeply enjoyed reading the reviews.
Lisa seems smart and funny, which insecure males simply cannot tolerate unless coupled with at least a symbolic obeisance. A literal obeisance is, of course, preferred, because it can so easily segue into that which most of you seek but few will find. (a blow job)

well its not always as simple as flip a switch and problem solved, but you're more or less right. i've come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter how smart, attractive, funny, etc. you are, if you work hard enough you can accomplish nearly anything. at least, you can make some money that way. and once you do that the rest of it can come if you let it.

If you've had hardships like you claim, then you should know that all people go through crap. Just because you were able to muster through doesn't mean everyone can. I watched a documentary about children in inner city Baltimore, last night. They are growing up in an environment where the opportunities that you and I have taken for granted are almost non-existent. Anyway, it was very sad and also inspiring.
I'm going to assume that you realize how much more difficult it would be for them to overcome their situation than it would be for an overweight person (who can afford quality food and the time to prepare it) to go exercise a few times a week and lose weight- and further that you were directing the post to people like you; (or maybe actually trying to convince yourself that you're not a victim- not sure).
So, let's now imagine how weird life would be if everyone did all of these things. I think you might be a little jealous that there would no longer be anything special about you because everyone is perfect, but perfect is no longer perfect- it's just normal. So, then people might stop sleeping because they're constantly trying to fulfill their desire to be better at something, but there isn't enough time in the day meeting every other objective that they've ever wanted to achieve. (Which means we would all die just after going crazy). Of course, we could save ourselves some effort by simply learning how not to be jealous or competitive and then everything should be fine, but then we'd get fat again because we no longer care and let's face it- pizza is better than spinach and boiled chicken.
Instead of us all going down that slippery slope- maybe you might try giving yourself a pat on the back for your accomplishments, (instead of obsessing over your apparent flaws), and watch how that translates into your acceptance of others.

If your energy input is less than your energy expenditure, your body won't support its current mass and you'll lose weight. It's a simple biological fact--sure, there are factors that slow metabolism and cause appetite dysregulation, but that's the bottom line. If you're "counting calories" and not losing weight, you're counting too many.
