Living here sucks. The mountains are awesome, and there is a lot of stuff to do outdoors, But I can't remember the last time I saw any blue sky. It was probably 4-5 months ago, august maybe. I've lived here all my life and i've been to down to oregon and colorado a few times. Its fuckin awesome, bein in sunlight, seriously its hell up here, my ass is whiter then michael jackson. This town would be the best one in the world if it didn't rain 362 days a year. Besides the once in a while black bear going through your garbage and local eskimo native harassing you for 40 money.
On top of that, right now during the winter, The sun comes up at 10:00 AM, and sets by 3:30 PM. I go to school, its pitch black, get off work, its pitch black. Its a pain in my ass. We are also the most avalanche prone city in the U.S. It hasn't happen on any of the city but I've had some scary fuckin times snowboarding.
Shits expensive here too, theres no roads out so everything is shipped in by barge so it costs that much more. Our local brewery's beer is the shit though, everyone pick up a 6 pack of alaskan amber if you havent already.
Juneau Is a big cruise ship spot too, so in the summertime we get like up to 4000 tourists downtown within 1/2 a mile, last summer we picked up these hott norweigan chicks and bang bussed them, tourist chicks are easy.

Beautiful city. Is that a postcard? Leave it to your city's Commerce Dept to make their crappy city look good to draw in tourists to get "bang-bussed"

i took a cruise up there once, alot of totem poles and rain...it apparently rains once a day every day for like an hour or so....
totem poles were kinda neat though

Yeah, Alaska as a whole sucks pretty bad. I have worked in Dutch, Dillingham, Sand Point, all over that stink hole. You should probably move.
