Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs.
I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked, "Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"
There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers!" I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?" The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of "a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar." He sheepishly replied, "Yes."
I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr.Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!"The Imam was speechless! I continued, "I also have problem with being your 'friend' when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?" You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.
Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the 'Diversification' training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs.
In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President! I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this but with the liberal justice system, liberal media and the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized. Please pass this on to all your e-mail contacts. This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well known leader in prison ministry.

While there are groups preaching jihad the VAST majority of Muslims are peaceful, good people. Before you make judgements, remember it wasn't long ago people were lynching blacks here in America....all in the name of Christ.
Would you like it if your pastor was interupted like this (in the middle of a sermon) and asked about some of the bible's more controversial verses? Would you like it if people believed that all christians thought EXCATLY as this pastor answered? Well, why are we doing this exact thing here?
I know a great many muslims that would be brought to tears if they thought their neighbors believed things like this behind their backs. It makes me very sad anyone claiming to be a christian would be so quick to judge a person before even speaking to them.
Muslims are nothing to be afraid of. More people die from peanut allergies or lightning each year than from terrorist attacks. If we truely are that worried about terrorism then why are our borders completely unsecure? Seems like the first thing a responsible government would do. How does fighting in Iraq make more sense than putting a few more troups on our borders?
Are we any safer? How does stirring up trouble all over the world, which has been proven to create more terrorists, serve America's best interest? Will becoming a police state really make us safer? Do you consider Isreal safe or less of a target?
If you truely want to be secure in America and it's freedoms pay attention to your politicians and their politics. THEY are what got us into this mess. No matter how many times Bush says it's our "freedom" they hate remember not ONE terrorist has ever made that statement himself. They hate our boot on the back of their neck. They hate the leaders like Saddam we put into power.
We are our own worse enemy and until we realize that we are doomed. Not from a Muslim but from self inflicted gunshots. We are scared and the terrorists are winning by about 3 billion dollars per day.

Did you fail to notice the "email" was not the entire post?

The localized, directed violence in the old testament (against morally depraved people groups) is pretty different from a running, active command to "bring all the world under submission [to Allah]," and "end idolatry." There really is no comparing the two. I'd be the first to apologize for some of Christianity's evils in practice, but there's really no comparison between the *ideals* of the two religions. Read their books. While humans have to work to turn one into a hideous mess, the other starts out as a hideous mess and just keeps running.

I actually studied theology and know a significant amount about Islam, although I have not read any version of the Koran cover to cover I can certainly guarantee that you have not.
You also claim to know the difference between the old and new testament, if you did then you would be able to grasp the concepts in the Koran.
I am not trying to insult you either as I know people who are muslim and who interpret the Koran in extremely different ways to each other as do Christians with the bible.
But you claim to know the difference between the Old and New testaments and still interpret Islam as non peaceful.

Seriously, this is a good post but it's all obvious stuff that as much as you say you'd like out in the public already knows! (Well here in the UK anyway)
We all know that Muslim Imams preach the death of infidels, and we all know that we're all seen as infidels. We know the whole Saddam situation, shame he had to be killed for the Bush family but that's what happens when the states allows it's elections to be rigged.
