I was never big on putting things in my body that don't belong there, (go ahead, I know you want to make a gay joke) but I feel that I've hit a plateau in my lifting. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about Nitric Oxide suplements. NaNOx9 to be specific. It is supposedly ... uhh supposed to:

"Immediately floods muscles with Pump-inducing vascular expanders" and;
"Forces rapid increases in muscle size and maximum pumps"

So far I've taken it about a week and have only noted very (very) minor increases. If anyone has tried this before I'd love to hear about your experiences. Or, if you have taken any dietary supplements (for the purposes of improving performance) for that matter, I'd like to know about those also.

Keep in mind that I'm not looking to get bigger, just stronger and I'd like to do that with as little help as possible.

Thanks for your time.

That stuff is garbage. I should know, I work part time at the Vitamin Shoppe. You just wasted a ton of money.

Then the product is false representing since it bills itself as a "nitrous oxide injection system" - certainly sounds like they would like to believe it's putting NO directly into your body doesn't it?

Out of curiosity I did just read more about what it does, what it can do, what it reacts with, what those reactions form etc. If you have also read and understood this, I question your intelligence level if you are still considering screwing with the balance of this chemical within your body... Doesn't sound like something you want to fuck with. Further more, according to what I read, it's primary purpose with regard to muscles is to signal them to relax. I fail to see how that will help you lift more weight. Sounds to me like you got roped in by a bunch of marketing garbage.

You aren't taking a gas in pill form. The supplement signals your cells to start producing more of the gas.

I'd go on, but everyone here obviously wants to play the expert and pretend to know everything about it. I was simply just asking if anyone has taken it or anything else and had any feedback. Apparently no one has or at least doesn't care to share.

Thanks again for your time, maybe I'll be back in another few months.

Nitric Oxide, Nitrous Oxide and Nitrogen Dioxide are ALL gases. There is no confusion.

Yes he's right your cells make it and it has some purpose in your body but being that it's also a toxic free radical I would want to make sure it's only in the part of my body where it's supposed in the quantities that it's supposed to be there. Even if safe and beneficial I question the ability of the company that makes this product to produce a pill that results in nitric oxide somewhere in your digestive system after taking the pill and then after that the rate at which this gas would be absorbed. Usually your lungs are a better organ to absorb things in a gaseous state than your digestive tract.

Not to mention in order to put it into a pill and then have it release a gas within your body I would think some type of chemical reaction would have to take place - is that reactioin any good for you?

Common sense says this product is at best stupid and useless and at worst not good for you.

You've done it for a WEEK and you haven't SEEN results... What "supplement" that isn't bad for you is going to cause results like that so fast? Even steroids aren't going to cause notable visual changes in less than a week. Impatient much?

--------

I was asking about it so I could know as much as possible about it. I wasn't expecting results that quick, I wanted to know if I should continue using and if there were any pros/cons.

For everyone about Nitric oxide being a gas: your cells produce nitric oxide. It's a commonly known fact and has been that way for years. Read a book, it will do you good.

Hey fucktard, what planet do you live on? On planet Earth Nitric Oxide is a gas at what we humans consider to be "room temperature" which is alot warmer than -163.6C - at least at my house it is. It's also classified as a "free radical" (i.e. extremely reactive and unstable) and those are usually bad for you.

Nitric oxide (NO)
Molecular weight 30 amu
Freezing point: -163.6 C (-263 F)
Boiling point: -151.7 C (-242 F)
HITRAN number: 8

Nitric Oxide is a gas... I highly doubt taking it in pill form is going to do anything. Looks like a placebo for muscle-bound meat-head idiots.
-------
Nitric Oxide is a solid at room temperature. Nitrous Oxide is a gas at room temperature. Pay attention in Chemistry class - it's useful.

Work = Force x Distance.

If you pick up a weight and out it down in the same place, you have done no work. You have accomplished no net effect. But due to the inefficiency of your body, you have converted some chemical potential energy into heat.

You are now looking to find ways to make your body even less efficient so you can pick up even more weight and put it back where it was, converting more chemical potential energy into heat for no net effect whatsoever.

I think I have figured out this whole 'global warming' thing. Fucking fitness fags are ruining the planet.
