George Bush.
Isolated. Completely.
Seems to think dumping more soldiers in Iraq is going to expedite our withdrawal. How's that again?
No one agrees with him. No one (worth mentioning) on capitol hill, surely not the American people and god DAMN surely not those serving in our armed forces.
Hardball is a joke of a program as far as political commentary goes, but as it drones on in the background right now, Mr. Matthews is making a strange sort of sense.
"I'M CHRIS MATTHEWS AND I'M NOT GOING TO LET ANYTHING GET BY ME."
Bush is a mindless chimp. His 'plan' for handing over governmental autonomy to Iraq is a botched shot-in-the-dark gameplan at best. He kind of reminds me of Steve-O from Jackass - in the sense that he keeps doing stupid shit to himself and smiling in the camera afterwards as if he'd just got his brown belt in Karate.
Bush: "Make no mistake. There will be more casualties as a result of this strategy."
When the light reads 'Red', that means 'Stop', George.
Stop. Not go.
I'd like to see his preschool teacher impaled for having obviously taught him otherwise.
In other news my dog just farted.

I thought this was very well stated.
Blabkill is a moron. I am surprised he wrote so much in response to your declaration that George Bush is a "mindless chimp".
He defies logic - most of them right wing asshole types do.
Simplistic thinkers flock to the right - the information is pre-chewed for easy regurgitation, the boundaries of thought are well defined and blindly embraced, and the people are all predictably ignorant to most of what they so emphatically rail against.
Good post.

This is...yeah.
But I do enjoy Stabby yelling about "brainwashing hate speech" when it is against his party - YET - promotes it against those outside his circle.
Irony?

Poor marginwalker...It is a good nickname for him, however. Margin is the root word of marginal which is what exactly he is in life. I don't think I really care what opinion he has because he offers nothing when it comes to debate/solving things. It is weird how subliminal things can take over and you name yourself Marginwalker basically by saying you are limited to a simple area and unable to go outside those lines. "Walkin' the margins." I'd rather debate a topic with someone with a nickname "braindead" because at least they have brain in their name.

You are a brainwashed idiot. Bush has made terrible mistakes, but it doesn't mean he is a "mindless chimp". That is mere rhetoric of hateful, mindless, idiots.
How "a mindless chimp" was elected to the highest position in government in Texas, and then the United States is beyond me. Also, if he is a "mindless chimp" then John Kerry, who received worse grades at the same school, must also be a mindless chimp.
I suppose simply leaving Iraq is your plan of action, right? Now...think it through. What will happen when we leave? Isn't that what "liberals" do? They are the THINKERS? You can attack Bush all day long for his decision to go to war, but it is more touchy of the subject is to do NOW.
First: Look at history. Vietnam was lost by the USA how? We gave up. Facts are, the North Vietnamese knew they were winning the war by changing public policy of the USA and the anti-war movement. Also, war fought in such a manner isn't a good way to "win". Sitting ducks is very accurate.
How does that equate to now? The same thing: The left-wing anti-war folks WANT failure. Next, war is fought in a very similar way....we are not allowed to really do the things needed to WIN.
The media is biased, period. If you get all your news from the mainstream media, you are a fool. However at least the mainstream media has mentioned a change of tactics. THAT is what is most important. Could these extra troops be ramping up an action in Iran/Syria? Some people think so. Iran is supplying the insurgents and that is a fact. You don't care? You just want the troops out no matter what?
Now...this is what happens if we leave. The central government of Iraq will be more influenced by the Shia groups until they take 100% power of the whole country with the help of Iran. Next, Iraq & Iran will be allied as Anti-US governments. Saudi Arabia is sunni as well as Kuwait....both countries that are not exactly friendly with Iran. Next, the Shia governments will probably fund extremists to attack and plague the governments of their enemies (don't you ever keep track of what is going on in the middle east?). Eventually, invasion is not out of the question. With the majority of the oil under control of Iran, well... that will be trouble. Just think of an endless war in the future...
We need to get off our foreign dependence on oil, no question about it. And then we can have no problem in doing what Israel would most certainly do in a dire situation: bomb all the oil fields of their enemies completely crippling them financially.
Will 20,000-25,000 more troops have an influence in stopping what is going on in Iraq? It probably influences our enemies to be unhappy that there are MORE troops to battle against. Now if they don't change the rules of engagement and tactics, there is absolutely no reason to send more troops...if they are willing to change tactics and engage our enemies and doing what it takes to destroy them no matter what...this means taking out their militias to the last man... we could use those troops very much so.
People with your mindset are helping nobody but the enemy in Iraq...and Iran.
