What is with the all this fucking emo bullshit?
You seem smart enough - stop wallowing in your depressing life and work to change it.
Honestly - all that self help literature that clogs the bookstore is for people just like you, my friend. Pick a few up. Read them. Embrace.
Also : BOO HOO.
What ever sad story you have is suitably tragic. Go forth and get thee a hug. Most of us don't give even the smallest squirt of a shit - but will certainly nod their head in a helpless / apathetic acknowledgement of your plight. Poor fella, chin up. Suck it up. We're with ya.
You poor kid.
>hugs<
But really, we just don't care. In fact, some of us who know you just plain think yer a pussy.
I think yer aces. But you need to smarten up.
Look, be the change. It's really that simple.
We can enable the fuck out of ourselves - but we don't.
It would be real cool if you did. Then, who knows?
Maybe one day we can start changing the world?
Ya ya,
I KNOW it may be too much work. But really- You are the only person stopping you from being happy.
It's so simple it hurts... yet some of you hopeless idiots will not let yourselves work it out.
I'm happy. I like me. The only real unhappiness I have is how fucking stupid (and unhappy) some of my fellow human beings are. And dishes. Yardwork likes my pouch as well.
Our ignorance is pervasive and we tolerate it. It frustrates me.
Although our ignorance protects us from the overwhelming reality that we are failing.
It is repulsive to even think about some of the deplorable things that go on every single day. Desecration. Mutilation. Vile, deplorable, squishy things.
Every day. Due to war, manipulation, oppression, more of that god damn stupidity.
GOD.
That concept is most certainly responsible for a lot of our more cataclysmic failures. That is something that will never be agreed on - no should it be. It is an individual concept. It transcends our societal need for truth and accountability. We need order and an efficient structure. We do not have that. GOD does not influence that need.
Got it?
Mind you, certain bits of unethical scientific experimentation and any sort of "ethnic cleansing" or massive individual slaughtering based on hate or fear.
So we usually just shut off.
(I know you have already found yourself wandering here. It's tough. If yer gobbling it all up - then you are truly ahead of the curve.)
It is a tough thing to even think about. Our stupidity. Our family's stupidity. Whether it is that asshat Steve showing up uninvited or J'alasar the monkey fucking retard our there tipping over those fucking goats... there are human beings who piss us off DAILY...
But because we loves 'em - we cut them some slack.
Well listen up : that slack is fucking us over.
These little jabs I fire out into the collective subconscious are met with a mixture of immediate contempt and anger.
(haha... or just bad writing. But I am gleeful uncaring about the relative ignorance of some of you trolling ass-holish types.)
However, a lot of people will agree with what I am saying but wish I would just shut the fuck up (STFU) - of course they most certainly have heard it all before.
Some people will nod their heads and read along with a solid blend of apathy and resigned disgust.
Some wonderful choir members will emphatically agree - but still think I blather on a little too much.
(Anyone who is actually making a difference in the world is unlikely to be following along this happy horseshit...)
YOU - you should just take what I say at face value. I have no preconceptions that are not at least somewhat flexible. I am sure of a lot of things but like that one philosopher guy sorta said - "I don't know nuttin'." That is a good trait. More peole should employ it.
I am honest.
The fact that statement is immediately suspect and impossible to effective to illustrate makes it relatively useless, but now you know - and I very much enjoy the sharing.
And the touching.
---
OK.
We are WELL aware that we are failing in some really vital areas - and we are doing some really horrible things in the meantime.
We need to start doing various things to change that pattern. I know it will involve something drastic.
I don't quite know what it should be...yet. I am always hoping that some of you smarter folks will but this whole take we have on humanity most of us have is just simply fucking broken.
We let CASH dictate how we help people.
It is absurd. We have the technology, the resources, the space and the global kinship enough to stop all the negative destructive bullshit we have going on around the globe... We just choose not to.
The concept is really that simple. And I am NOT suggesting that changes anything...this is not a rally cry nor is it a conspiracy theory. I'm just saying our capacity to change is almost ALWAYS just as simple as the infomercials make them look.
Some change isn't possible, but that doesn't negate our ability - only our willingness to try.
You can choose to marginalize that statement as much you want: If we continue along this path we are only doing ourselves a disservice. I'm just sayin'
All of this global bullshit needs to change.
I sure as fuck have no idea how that is going to get done... and neither do any of you. We all have our various levels of interest in having the necessary dialogue to start solving some of these global problems. We need to separate the argument that just because we FEEL there is nothing we can do, that we truly have nothing left to do.
BUT.
(cue music.)
I feel we do.
We need to start something. A movement.
A dump, if you will.
Dump out all of society's more fucked up issues. Things that need solving. Fill that fucking hat with all sorts of problems we are having on various levels of our government. Talk about their inefficiency. Examine their needless redundancy. Outdated democracy. Suspect motivations. Overpaid, unionized grouchy, lazy, and other wise useless governmental agencies. Educational and environmental issues.
Sqeeze that fucker right out.
On the hotplate, if you will.
So now we have all the shit society on this warmed up plate.
And then we need to ask ourselves : Do we REALLY want to continue eating this shit?
I am sure we will all agree and embrace our private bits in collective rapture.
---
ANYways. Listen - if your life is so terrible. Change it.
We should change. Lets get together and chat about what we can do. But work on you first.
Hugs n' kisses, until next time.
r.

whats up with everyone wanting to be artificially happy? fuck positive psychology
i like when i get depressed and when i feel extremes in my life.
happiness should not be constant, suffering should be the constant. happiness should be the extreme that is reached only for a few instances. contentment is not the same as happiness.
"You know quite well, deep within you, that there is only a single magic, a single power, a single salvation...and that is called loving. Well, then, love your suffering. Do not resist it, do not flee from it. It is your aversion that hurts, nothing else."

I have been preaching a similar sermon to some of my friends half of their lives. Especially recently as it's become 'cool' to wallow in your own crapulence. Sometimes a person doesn't want to change; they think that they have real problems. My experience has been that most people with more complex inner workings tend not to wear their heart on their sleeve, but instead save the product of such emotional incubation for when no one can criticize them for it. The rest of you fuckheads who think you're all fucked up and depressed just want attention in any way, shape, or form that you think you can get it. Maybe they think it's sexy to be depressed and disconnected?

Robbie baby I like your stuff, you seem levelheaded enough, but there's just one thing.
The formatting of your posts drives me the fuck up the wall. So many enter key spaces, just condense it all; some people don't put in any spaces and others space every sentence into its own paragraph. JayPig did the same thing back when he was posting, drove me insane.
anyway cheers ya ya fuck emos

OK. I will work on that (I definitely see your point.)Constructive critisism is always appreciated, good sir.

Jesus...the way you blather on and on and on and on is just nauseating. I suspect when you talk, you take on a condescending tone and your voice sounds just like Comicbook Guy from the Simpsons.
And what's with the obsession of hitting the space bar two and three times after every sentence? Is that so we don't miss a single word of your uever-so-important opinions?
---
Sorry for the nausea.
I only take a condescending tone if I am talking to stupid people - otherwise I am likely to speak quite normally.
I don't hit the space bar a couple of times... that would be the 'enter' key.
(And I do it cuz I think it looks pretty - AND I am hoping that you lap up every word. I'm good like that)
The majority of my opinions are very important... and guess what? So are yours.
So, what is the deal? Are you going to focus on what I had to say or just on how I say it?
Cuz that would be fucking lame.

That whole part was really disjointed and poorly written -
THIS might make more sense:

'GOD'.
Now THAT concept is most certainly responsible for a lot of our more cataclysmic failures. It is also something that will never be agreed on - nor should it be. It is an individual concept. It transcends our societal need for truth and accountability. We need order and an efficient structure for which to govern ourselves, maintain said order and hold ourselves accountable.
We do not have that in place and any relationship with GOD does nothing to influence that need.
Got it?
Mind you, certain bits of unethical scientific experimentation and all sorts of tragic "ethnic cleansing" and massive individual slaughtering based on hate or fear are equally as morally reprehensive as anything religion has inspired... but GOD is much easier to blame than ourselves.

Oh it has many points. All of which were entirely lost on you, however.
I will concede that it is rather poorly written in places. I fucking ramble on...
A LOT.
I paid very little attention in middle school English classes, I did in fact pass - if only barely. I hate school.
I should rant about our failing education system one of these days instead of just mentioning it.
Anyways... I will have a wonderful day. I rather doubt you have many of those.

This has nothing to do with the post, I just felt like writing it now -
But you don't remember your sister
Or your sister's friend, how they'd
Drive down Independence and shout love
At the men who reminded them of fathers
Slouched down drunk in corners, looking
Like split, open graves before the mourners.
And they'd find them by the Capitol,
Small-eyed and singing out their madrigals,
There was smoke but never fire,
There'd be pills but never water,
Yeah the streets were filled with strobe lights
And the sweaty mess of someone else's daughters.

All of the shortcomings and faults of man that you describe here have been around as long as mankind itself. Perhaps that is what defines man, and anything you say or do is for naught.
Not a very impressive species, are we?
---
I dunno. You could be right.
I have a little more faith than that, but I temper that faith with brutal honesty and candid observation.
Humanity certainly has its fair share of shortcomings and a plethora of faults - but I think it is our success that we choose to define ourselves with.
That is why we are failing... we only concentrate on the good and choose to ignore the awful.
On the contrary I think we are highly impressive in certain areas... but we also fucking suck in places.
Such is duality of our existence.
Ying to the mutha fuckin' Yang, yo.

---
Let me qualify that - I had / have 'real world' work to do - and talking about my elevated opinion of myself on a degenerate website is not >all< that productive.
I do feel that it is important for me to say the sort of things I say - it's little more than common sense, but the fact that our "not giving a shit" is so unbelievably pervasive and overwhelming as a group, I keep hoping that if enough aware individuals get together and decide to start spreading that notion of "we CAN to better" and formulate some sort of cogent plan then there might just be some salvation possible for all of us heathens / infidels.

We should change. Lets get together and chat about what we can do. But work on you first.
-------------
If you GENUNELY are serious about this, you'd start practicing that last sentence first.
Your faults are numerous, rob, but your most egregious is that you assume anyone who disagrees with you is automatically stupid.
You want to change something - change that.
---
You know that is fascinating.
WHY do you assume that I assume that anyone who disagrees with me is automatically stupid?
I don't think that at all.
I DO have numerous faults... my offerings are peppered with flagrant admissions to the more noteworthy ones, in fact. What you seem to be missing here is the 'person' in which I fictitiously address in this rambling little diatribe has a very specific fault... and that is unhappiness.
Now, it just so happens that there are A LOT of stupid people out there. I find the urge to point that out... our casual acceptance and of that stupidity and our unwillingness to either hold them truly properly accountable (forced education) or beat some fucking sense into them hampers us as a society.
You know this - and as big of a fucking idiot as I loving consider you to be at times - you are most certainly not stupid.
I think, maybe, you should take some time to consider why you react so negatively to my rather benign observations on stupid people.
(I feel we have made some progress in our antagonictic relationship of late Jonny-boy... I'm proud of ya.)

Rob mate, we all drag a heavy sack full of self loathing. It is our burden as men to be strong and revile all weakness, particularly our own. What better way to buff our mask of strength and capability than to decry all the natural human shortcomings that genuinly plauge us?
I dunno. I guess I'm not really knowledgable about such things.
Anyway, it'd be lovely if everyone felt wicked all the time but they don't and we should probably feel compassion for a fellow man when he's all lousy, even if we don't do anything.
---
My sack isn't very heavy - but I would agree that there has been some very intense disapointment with myself... there is no loathing.
Strength is relative, and there are certainly many individuals out there whose strength far surpasses my own.
I am fairly well balanced - for the most part my strengths dominate over my weaknesses and I manage pretty well. And I believe I have mentioned happy.
I am most definitly happy.
I am all for self deprecation - especially of the humorous kind, but after a while it all contributes to the same cycle of oblivious ignorance that we are tragically caught up in.
I do feel compassion for people - especially when he feels all lousy.
We SHOULD do something... even if we have convinced ourselves that we can't.

The hilarious thing is that these rants are almost always bitterly spat out against an imaginary offender who happens to share all the characteristics the author disgustedly finds whitin himself (or herself). It's as self absorbed as burning yourself in effigy.

You can make that assumption if it floats yer boat bert-meister.
I suspect oftentimes you would be right with that clever little stab at insight - but in this particular case your flippant review misses the mark.
Completely.
I'm happier than a poop rootin' pig. I'm lazy and apathetic, but I would LOVE the world to share some of my finer characteristics:
Truthfulness.
Respect.
Intelligence.
Empathy.
Kindness.
Loyalty.
Wit.
Forgiveness.
Leadership.
The fact that I am wasting my time on Ubersite instead of working is not something I would encourage society to emulate... but still - for the most part I am good time.
In fact, I am rather awesome. So are most of the people I hang out with or share any of my time with. Generally only the people who are NOT awesome have a problem with people like me.
Why don't we pause a moment and lets all have a big hooray for me right now!

Still; if we lived in a society that taught children that when they saw someone crying they should give them a hug and a handjob all this weepyness would vanish overnight.
---
That, however, is beautifully stated.

Every change is neccessary , and if we don't start it , it will be started . This 21st century
has no (read : none) patience , time to think it over , selfcontrol , or enlightened inner-guide .
That's why we need to provide that . Humanity is a out-of-control wildebeast busy with an ongoing stampede . If we think we control that , we're fooling ourselves . Influence is all we got . And if the mayority would be only able to think , there was hope . Guess not...
We got to become better influencers . Otherwise only dictatorism can save us . We need a brain , as Humanity , or very dark ages await us . Been there , done that , didn't we ?

Agreed. LETS CHANGE!
But to what?
The overwhelming nature of that question causes silence or a deafening roar of incomprehensible suggestions... the vastness of possibility inevitably crushes our finite ability to comprehend - let alone affect any real change on any large scale.
So we tend to get bored and usually wander off.
We convince (and forgive) ourselves of our own failings. Accept them and ignore them.
We should change that. But how?

From the post :
Some change isn't possible, but that doesn't negate our ability - only our willingness to try.

people don't wana make choices incase they make the wrong one, it's much easier to let someone else decide how you should think.

They really don't.
I know I hate making the wrong decision even if I have made a bunch in my day.
(Of course hitting the 'Submit' button instead of the 'Rate this item' is sometimes considered one of them.)
It is easier for other people to decide how we should think.
In fact, it has long since been proven rather necessary.
Heck, the reason we have Society & Government, actually follow laws and read instructions and get married is because we have an incessant need to be bossed around.
We function better.
Oh we complain about it... but we comply. It is in our nature.

I hate ALL Emos (sweeping statement, but cunt-off it's my choice.)
Only because by labeling themselves as emo they represent that which angers me most self pity and weep-ige.
Bunch of nonces (original sense of the word)

Truly. It's stupid.
However - some of them are nice and rather un-hateable.
Some sing some pretty enjoyable songs.
Blanket hate is very limiting. Understandable. Justified, at times.
... but ultimately useless.

Shit filter reduces this posts to three words> Emos Are Fags
That is a +1

How deliciously simplistic.
Of course by 'fag' - you mean a fairly useless jackass who spends entire too much of their time being sad.
Homosexuals are generally having MUCH more fun than that.
A few of them e-mos need a kick in the dink, however.
