Michael Flohr's unique talent, vision, and ability have led to his wild success as a young artist. Many claim him to have redefined impressionism and to be one of most innovative artistic geniuses of our time. Flohr believes his biggest inspiration in creating art to be everyday life. He has an uncanny gift for depicting the ordinary moments of life with avant-garde truth and beauty.
His stylistic strength and pioneering new face for impressionism have won him many honors, including the selection of his work for exhibition at the famed de Young Museum in San Francisco and the Herman Lambert Scholarship by New York's legendary Society of Illustrators.
Flohr notes, "I have a huge passion to record humanity on canvas, the good and bad, it is all beautiful to me."
His work reminds me of what would happen if Hopper cross pollenated with Monet.

Amazing use of color here. I'm not big on a lot of impressionism, but I like some of these a lot.

Pretty cool, though I'm not a fan of impressionism.

I'd buy one if I weren't a poor college student
-----------------
The originals are not available for the most part.
Prints for ones like Martinis & Jazz (upper left) go for between 7 and 8 grand if you can even find them. My wife and I looked a getting one as a pseudo investment a couple of years ago, but ultimately decided we couldn't swing it. I love his stuff though.

I like impressionism. It is generally pretty to look at and this no exception.
