i collect fantasy art.... mostly things with wings, or well done dragons... i am actually quite picky about how dragons are done....

most of my art comes from comic book related things that are sold as lithographs in runs of 500-2500 pieces, but i have some custom "one of a kind" original art pieces.

these are a few of them here, i have more than one piece done by almost every artist, so i will only post one piece from each artist with exception to douglas schular because i have several forms of the same piece (card, print, statue and original)

i did have an original painting of the black lotus by chris rush painted on a blank magic card... but i ebayed it off a few months back

As an ex-closet-magic player, (old school, not that new crap they've been printing out by the millions) I recognized the serra angel. I have an old one from Beta, and although not signed by Schuler, I still think it's cool.

(if richard garfield had a brain they never would have let him go)

I hate this because I hate you

its nothing personal, I just need someone to direct all my negativity on, and you are just screaming for it.

To me, fantasy art ranks down there with velvet Elvises. I believe the word that I'm looking for is kitsch.

i would bet my entire savings that you have, on more than one occasion, jacked off to some of your art pieces. careful rubbing that staue against your balls, those wings look like they could pierce skin pretty easily.

I love how people criticise people that do this kind of art, even though they are incredibly talented.

All I have to say to you people is, "AT LEAST IT'S NOT THOMAS KINKADE"

P.S. I used to play with that Magic card. I could probably dig it up if I tried.

the -2 isnt because of the art, its because of the fucking magic card you social derelict.

I *knew* that first picture was familiar from somewhere...it's been about a decade since I've touched a Magic playing card. Love the pencil sketch!

By far though, my favorite HAS to be that "Ascension" piece.

Congrats! You got some fat nerd who went to art school to draw some wings and secondary sex characteristics on what is already a made up being. What an accomplishment. What an artistic achievment for him.

What a load of absolute ghey-donkey crap.

Art? I picked my arse this morning and rubbed it on the walls - it had more artistic credibility that this pile of steaming 'fantasy' 'art'.

comic books are the shittiest form of "art"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

anyone that makes this statement probly has a "poetry blog" and cuts themselves because they are too "deep" for the world to "get them"

its not the books themselves i am advocating, it is fantasy art in general, only alex ross and neil gaimen and finch & batt were comic book related, the others were taken from other places.

i wil also point out that alan moore's "watchmen" (a comic book series that won a Hugo Award, and also appeared on Time magazine's 2005 list of "the 100 best English-language novels from 1923 to the present.") is required reading in colleges for many social studies related courses including ethics.

granted its for the writing, but even a well written story is "art"

i would also reccomend "death:high cost of living"

... i also noticed a ton of other typos and stuff but i guess thats what i get for rushing a post to keep in a wednesday

He may have come up with the recipe, but I came up with the idea of
charging $6.95 for it.
