I don't mind, and you don't matter.
Those of you who have spared a thought in my direction have quite probably thought something along the lines of "Good, the pretentious fucker fucked off, after we shot her last posts down in flames". And more power to you for doing so, because it means your reality filters are working exactly as you have set them to.
But I haven't dropped off the face of ubersite, in fact I have spent the intervening days churning out one piece of "intellectual mastubatory bullshit" (quote Anansie, slightly out of context) after another. I don't have time to finish one thing before another idea hits me in the forehead like a brick. And for this I thank you all. You stimulate. And even though half of the crap I'm writing isn't worth the energy I spent typing it, god it feels good to be creative again.
I am in a very bitter place right now, which I'm sure is no surprise, and for no discernible reason. But you appear to be labouring under the misapprehension that I take myself, and you, seriously. I'm old enough and wise enough to know that what I'm doing and feeling is fairly characteristic of teenage angst, which I'm sure we can all agree we feel I should have grown past a long time ago.
What fascinates me, drawn like the proverbial moth to the flame, is that only one of you has shown any sign of noticing that what you are doing is very similar.
Call it devolution. This is what I need right now, and I have no plans to move on in the foreseeable future.

Actually, I doubt any one has thought of you at all in your absence hon. You have to post to remind folks of your existence. It's a bit like real life, where no one gives a sweet flying fuck about anyone else unless they raise a big stink in some manner. Then a few people polarize into opposing love or hate camps, and everyone else continues to remain apathetic. Ubersite is a microcosm of real life, in that way. You are overestimating your noteworthiness. As do we all.
