Maud Lewis is the Margaret Atwood of the fine arts. There is no excuse for painting this bad if you have the use of your hands... except maybe if your hands were lobster claws. Most children paint better than her and thousands of people think her art is "just amazing!!1!1one"
I apologize on behalf of Canada for unleashing her and Ms. Atwood on the world, but before you accept my apology, judge for yourself.

Margaret Atwood's not bad at all if you actually enjoy poetry. This however, is utter shit.

It seems to me, I remember thinking that exact sme thing, the first time I saw them in grade three. I blocked them from my memory until I saw the cat one on a handbag. Of course I was riding the peasant wagon (bus) at the time and I may have been hallucenating from the dirty hippie/patchouli oil fumes?
