david jones, a leading department store in australia, is suing a 'left leaning think tank'that published a report on 'corporate pedophilia' claiming that david jones 'sexualised' children in their advertising.
i am looking forward to this court case.
presumably they will present exhibits such as clothes catalogue pics of underage girls in swimming costumes, and then call upon 'expert' witnesses to determine if these pics are deliberately sexual.
it has obvious potential as an absurd circus, and it will get even more interesting if they start trying to debate, in a legal context, some of the deeper questions. for example, if it's established that a 14 year old girl IS pouting in a sexual manner, or bending over in a provocative way, would any argument be put forward to suggest that this is in fact harmless and natural? and if the harmless and natural argument was defeated, does it follow that laws should be put in place to ensure that anyone under the legal age posing in a clothing catelgoue must do so in a completely lifeless manner to prevent the possiblity of sexual connotations?
will they interview pedo's to establish that kiddie catalogues inspired them to rape kiddies? will ordinary men be put on the stand under oath and asked if underage panty pics caught their eye in the mail box and thus lured them into looking at the catalogue and thus into buying other products from david jones? will the legality of wanking over pictures of underage girls in junk mail catalogues delivered to your mailbox be examined? will they cross examine kids about how the photo shoots were conducted?
etc etc etc
i am seriously thinking of visiting this court case as an Uber Correspondent, chock full of whacko tobacco.

iddy - i would definitely like to attend at least a day or two of court, if it's open to the public.
the article says it's on at the Federal Court in Sydney. Do you know where that is? and how we could find out when it's on and what is scheduled for particular days?

How come no one is being sued FOR PRINTING THE FUCKING PALM TREES UPSIDE-DOWN?
Last I heard, palm trees grow with their roots downward, and their leaves pointing at the fucking Sun, even in Australia. I don't think I'd be able to enjoy the girl's body even if she was 27 years old and had G-cup tits, that goddamn print is so distracting.

Looking at the expressions of those girls REALLY creeps me out. But yeah, I'd have to say it'd make an interesting count case
