For $2.6 million for 30sec or so of airtime at it's peak, you'd have guessed there would be a decent showing of ads.
Instead, we got shit. Worse than shit. Some were amusing, and a few were alright. But gone are the days of the Budweiser Frogs and the Tabasco-mosquito. I didn't even see a Corona ad! Not even Godaddy's recycled cheerleaders could help. Speaking of recycled... why did Blockbuster haul the rabbit and guinea pig out of retirement? And that 'Coke Factory' thing is no less than 5 years old.
So to save everyone the time of watching this crap yourselves http://youtube.com/superbowl here's my short-list of the worst-of-the-worst.

The Bud Lite hitch-hiker commercial kicked all kinds of ass.
--------------------
On further review, (and further drinking), I must agree. It was pretty funny. Still not the Bud Frogs, or the Lizards, but still pretty funny.

I got kind of emo over the GM robot one. Also the one with the dog who wanted to be a dalmatian, I can't remember what it was for though - I was pretty soused at that point.

I don't know what it is, but there's something fundamentally different about the filter or whatever on American cameras to the one on Australian cameras. It just seems less clear.
------------------------------------
You know Ive been asking that question for years and nobody gives me a straight answer. Even when English TV cameras film in America it still has that kind of American fuzziness to it? Anyone know why?
-----------------------------------------
Most other countries film television at about 30 frames per second, whereas American Television is shot at 24 frames per second. I think. It makes a huge difference.

And these images are even crappier--- not only youtube grade video, but screen captured from you tube. We're talking copy of a copy of a copy.

And yep adverts in general are gay x 1million. As it says on the link below, for every good advert there is 10 shit ones.

American advertising has always been bollocks, regardless of when it's aired.
