Two fucking years along side you bastards and sick freaks. Mmmm... it makes me warm. I've seen unrivaled depravity on this site right next to some of the most brilliant writing ever. Quite often, the two posts would have equal ratings, which in itself describes the madness that is Ubersite.
This place is digital chaos, summoned to us in the form of texts and images, both assaulting us intimately and invigorating our senses. We are drawn to this place in much the same way we stare at a raging campfire; we can see the beauty in the primal essence of destruction. This is a place to explore our creativity, our personalities, our truest of thoughts. We bask in the deeper, more recessed parts of our individuality and form a tribe based on the most blackest of sensations.
Through the hatred, jealousy and pettiness... through the broken factions and dubious caste system... through the raw, uninhibited talent and stark, vibrant acts of hostility... through the wretched atrocities we commit on ourselves and the bemused friendships forged here... We Are Ubersite.
Everyday that I log on, I am amused, horrified, awed and inspired - usually all within the first 10 minutes.
I salute the twisted men and women who populate this site and who have made me a better writer; either through pleasant encouragement or through vicious critiques. I came here for honesty and you responded with the most brutal truths possible. And once the scar tissue healed I could only progress forward. No matter who you are, your presence here has had a hand in it, and I thank you.
Some people provide links to their best work in their Uberversary posts. I see no need to do that at this time. No, I want to illustrate some of the work from this site that has effected me, I want to give back a little to the place and the authors that have drawn me here, time and again...

i'm not sure why, but the face matches the writing.
like, steven hakwing; he looks like the kinda guy who writes high level physics. Tom clancy; looks like a retired navy officer. kinda looks like the face you'd expect to see when you look at the jacket of a novel. george carlin, even if you've never seen him perform... on looks alone, he has the face that says "i'm gonna say stuff that'd make you uncomfortable if your parents are in the room".

I began writing a long review about two hours ago, on how I always enjoyed your work, and that you were a brilliant horror writer, but then the unthinkable happened.
I opened my laptop up to do physics work, and it froze. After screwing and unscrewing the hard drive, motherboard, and every other piece I could think of, I realized that whenever I move my laptop it locks up and shuts off. I tried to keep it still to save some of my documents, but it was on its way out. It died at 2:27 Eastern Time.
Goodbye, Laptop. We had some good times
- being access ibmed all through freshman year english
- playing halo, project 64 and icy tower together
- helping create a parody site for my school
- having a defective battery explode inside you
- being confiscated for making a hate page against my algebra teacher sophomore year, and being searched through repeatedly by the vice principle, dean, computer teacher, laptop technician and others, but always getting away because you were a smoooooth criminal
- dying in my arms this afternoon
