No, I don't mean the website being down, I mean the influx of new users.
I am hardly one to talk, only being here 3 months but at least I have contributed to the site in some way, however insignificant that may be. I killed foolproof for fuck sake, anyway...
It seems that ever since Bart changed the site over more and more people are getting acivation emails, of course, Maltese would have you believe that this was his doing and that he successfully rallied Bart, but changes were already in place before Maltese started his crusade.
panic at the disco getting to most heated with 400+ reviews
DesolatMisanthrope getting a fucking hard on over sacrilicious
greeMing using jaypeg to gain friends (at least he is contributing $ to bart via the uber bar)
some fuckwit caled rayden or hadnadin gaying up the place
chuckdoggydogg guilty of really fucking shit posts
zin gato or 'mongo of doom' generally being a mongo on ubersite.
Now, a lot of these user names may be unfamiliar to you, thats because they are new and routinely have their posts booted from the front page within 10 reviews.
Not there is anything wrong with that, but then they retaliate which is a hell of a lot of fun.
There are two things the Uber community can do with these types of users:
1, Act mature and ignore them, soon they will go away
2, lead them on and use l33t speak, as its a whole lot funnier this way.
I for one am going with option 2 as this will create a whole sub class of uber user that will produce much fodder to feast upon. I suggest some type of competition with these new users, where we lead them on (via reviews or email) and then post the funniest exchanges...
Sacrilicious has obviously already won this round after trapping our new friend DesolateMisanthrope into a web of intaweb fighting worthy of Jaypeg vs Caulaincourt, but with more empty violent threats.
P.S Since panic at the disco could not create a proper list of homosexuals lurking on Uber I have created the following databse which should clear everything up for you once and for all; Don't ask me how I know these things. I just do:

Ah well I did notice the review thing, however I just thought it was one of those small things that wasn't that big a deal.
Although I don't see how rewriting Uber in Java would equate to more n00bs but I guess if you receive the confirmation right away you can begin using Uber right away.
To be quite honest though it didn't take long at all for me to receive my confirmation e-mail almost 2 years ago when I signed up.

For those that didn't notice, I completely rewrote Ubersite in Java and launched the new version last week. If I did a good job, you shouldn't have noticed anything as I tried to make the new version look exactly like the old version. The difference is that it is a lot faster and written with a crazy better technical design that the old version so that I now have the ability to add new features and not completely crash the server.
