Lately I've been speaking with rad1101, Ubersite and MySpace celebrity, about our respective contributions to this place.

We've agreed that we have contributed in the area of 15 worthwhile posts to this glorious site. Each.

This is hardly a point of pride...OH NO, quite to the contrary.

This is cause for much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Because of my nature (I tend to avoid addressing things unless my hand is forced) I decided to continue doing whatever it is I do here.

It's easy to accept your own mediocrity when mediocrity is the name of the game. And let's face it, in the land of mediocrity, Uber is full of high rollers.

But this has gnawed at me for a while now. Yes, I think about the internet when I'm not on it. What more do you expect from an obese American kiddie toucher? We're all addicted to the internet. And Wal-Mart. McDonalds too. Mmmmmmmmmmmm....

Still, action is so tiring. I decided to eat BonBons and continue on my way.

Well, I tell you what Uber, I'm not taking any shit from some homo, cat loving, ginger. No way in Hell. If nothing else, I can always rely on my obviously false sense of superiority to spur me to action. And I know I'm better than this jackass.

I took it upon myself to go back through my old posts, my Uber claim to fame as it were, in search of those posts that were worth anything.

With my critical eyes on I found zero posts, ZERO, that were any good. It was at that point that I remembered I was thinking about Uber. I put on that set of eyes instead and fared a bit better.

I didn't count anything Uber related or shenanigan centered, because as much as those make us laugh, we all know those don't TAKE BACK UBERSITE.

So, a little better than I had thought. As you can see this list contains 17 posts. Out of 89. To be completely fair to myself, simply because I cannot rely on anyone else to be fair to me, 8 of those were misfires that resulted in reposts. This also indicates a certain brand of worthless shittiness, but we'll leave that for another day.

So, let's say I've had 81 posts.

This puts me at about a 10% non-suck rate.

My contributions to this site have been 90% suck.

This is the problem. Actually, if you are reading this post, those percentages are different now, because this certainly didn't help matters any. Man....

This simply cannot stand.

Here is my challenge.

Rad, you and I are going to be the new champions of Ubersite. Seriously. From this point on, it's all quality all the time. I would ask you to show Uber what you are capable of, as I have done here, and then march forward, chin up, into the future, devastating everyone with the brilliance I know we are both capable of. We both know we are better than all these fuckups, my sweet Zangief. Let's bring our A-Game. (I'm seriously running out of sport references/pep rally nonsense here)

It's actually a relatively long story that came to me based off of the NSFW picture at the end. It deals with a lot of different topics, some I've been writing about frequently more recently while others are ideas that I found myself drawn back to all the time. I almost thought about NOT posting the picture with it, but in the end, I went with it. 1) because I thought a handful of more people might read my work with the NSFW bit tacked on, and 2) the picture really was the inspirational jumping off point for the tale itself.

The story really wrote itself and I had a number of issues with it when I was finished. Did I draw out the middle part too long? Did I realistically capture the essence of the relationship between the protagonist and the others around her? Did I hammer home the point of the title and how it tied in to the narrative too awkwardly? So much was contained in such a small, ultimately insignificant little tale...

i have contributed more than 500 posts

at most, 20 of these embarrass me with their poor quality.

however, to find posts of greater 'substance' it would probably be wise to start with the oldest messages first.

i was also committed to posting subtance only material under 'thor', until Rad came along and broke my heart by destroying a plus 2 streak OUT OF SHEER SPITE (disguised as a campaign to save uber from overating)
