To those who've never heard the word, Bonnaroo may sound a bit foolish. Unfortunately those same people are horribly unenlightened souls who need to be educated about this massive, annual gathering of music and art fans and as such, I post.
Here are few quick facts about Bonnaroo:
1. Bonnaroo is a music and arts festival attended by tens of thousands of people every year (last year saw a turnout of over 80,000).
2. The festival takes place on a large farm in Manchester, Tennessee. Yes there are cows.
3. There are also lots of hippies. They are fun to trap and torture.
4. The entire musical spectrum is sampled from during Bonnaroo. Last year you could have seen shows from Radiohead, Cypress Hill, Common, Phil Lesh, Trey Annastasio (sp?) from Phish, Les Claypool and about 40 other acts all in the same 4 days.
5. 2007 dates for Bonnaroo are June 14th - 17th.
6. Your good friend Manitou will be there as well as I'm sure at least another 2 or 3 uberites (I have confirmation from 2 already). Given the unrestricted offering of a foray into all things debaucherous, you can bank on knowing that your $185 ticket will be money well spent.
[Quick story from last year's Bonnaroo that exemplifies this: some kid was selling nitrous cartridges out of the back of his volkswagen. By day four he had sold all of his happy gas save 4 boxes housing 4 cartridges each. He decided that, as a last hurrah, he would sit in his volkswagen with all the windows rolled up, and discharge all 16 cartridges. Another idiot joined him by taking the passenger seat. All I remember is watching them both start to drool against the windows within about 3 minutes.]

I'm probably going this year... We were going to go last year, but the people we were going with broke up the day we were supposed to leave, and the one that stayed in FL would have been seriously pissed if we had taken off to the big drug party with his girlfriend, especially since she wants to fuck MY boyfriend and I'm pretty sure that guy thinks I'm bi (I'm not.) so I was stuck in FL WISHING I was at the show. Did make grassroots though, so that was nice.

If you read carefully, it wasn't an accusation. Observe:

There is a difference in the wording and therefore meaning. And yes, you're correct, if you want to split that hair: Nothing is verbal on here, it's written. Thank you, Captain Obvious.
