Hi Ubersite! I know we got off on the wrong foot, but it was suggested that I rectify things by A.) sharing another picture of myself (working on this one; hope you all like fishnets) and B.) sharing some of my work.
This is a poem I wrote in a Women's Studies class when we were all given the assignment to write about the word "mysoginy" a few weeks back. It is about my father, his treatment of my mother, and how it parallels in how my current bf currently treats me. As a little bit of background, I guess it would be useful to know that my father is somewhat abusive, and that my parents are currently getting a divorce.

father's saccharine words in my ears

my beating heart torn from my breast
crushed beneath wingtips
black as tar
