I belong to a Church that believes the following.
We are a congregation which is Unashamedly White and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the White religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are a European people, and remain "true to our native land.". It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a White worship service and ministries which address the White Community
1. Commitment to God
2. Commitment to the White Community
3. Commitment to the White Family
4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
6. Adherence to the White Work Ethic
7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of "Middleclassness"
9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community
10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions
11. Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System
12. Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.
Now before you guess do you think a person who has such a race centered belief system would make a good politician?
What if I changed white to black?

Nevermind that he thinks there is a difference between white and black principles, nevermind that he owes his allegence to Black leaders who support black principles, nevermind that he is running on being FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS but he is against pursuing a middle class lifestyle, he is black so that would be cool.
And white leaders don't have "white" principles unless they are leading the KKK or arayn nation. If his principles are so different they need to be qualified as being "black" I would say that throws his principles out for the majority of the country.

what do they know about Africa? i'm willing to bet not a damn thing. if they want to be truly Afrocentric, why don't they go back to Africa? afterall, it's safer now. THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA made it possible for them to practice christianity without the threat of being murdered by Muslims.
but what do i know? i'm just a rich, educated, priveledged white boy who had everything handed to him. i'm part of the white culture that is keeping these poor people down, as if they don't have the same opportunities that i did when i worked from having absolutely nothing to being a successful adult. yeah right, spare me. i grew up in East St. Louis. guess what ESL predominently is? the black kids had every opportunity i did.
this church is RACIST and preaching about god is a thinly-vieled cover for their RACIST MOVEMENT.
you cannot have a real "separate but equal" culture. these people sound like they have turned away from the approach that MLK invisioned years ago, which called for intergration to bridge the racial divide. blacks still segregate themselves in integrated schools and churches like these as a matter of cultural identity and the social contradictions the civil rights moment created. blacks want equal rights, while at the same time wanting to maintain their black culture and identity. doesn't that sound a bit contradictory to you?
MLK is rolling in his grave...

I think they both should be allowed as long as its involvement is primarily of a social nature and it is open to all.
Just because the white one isn't allowed doesn't mean I should betray what I think is right by saying the black one shouldn't be allowed. It is unfair, but I don't think you create equality by taking away from a group (ie affirmative action).

For example the Asian police officers association is just as racist a concept as the White police officers association......

I can understand an asian police officer association for purposes such as socializing, networking and mentoring activities.
I think it is a little more suspect when it is a church and it has clear cut ideal centered around "black" (or white) values and leadership. It implies a difference of values, it implies a superiority of one set of values, and it puts the welfare and goals of one group as more important as anothers.

As I started to read this I started to get very angry. I thought you were quoting a politician verbatim and condemning him. While I agree with condemning him for his silly religious views I disagree with condemning him because he said he is committed to "white this" "white that" because I'm thinking all along that there have to be hundreds of black politicians and other public figures that have uttered similar sentiments simply replacing white with black. There are so many double standards in the disgraceful show we call politics. Yet the media touts this scumbag as the second comming of Christ. What a crock.
