Actually, the first answer has a lot of merit to it. Growing up in a farm area, one would know that calico cats are only female, so if the cat has a vagina, probability says that it is most likely female.

Seen it before but still funny.
Sometimes in exams when I get really frustrated I put shit like that in. There was a question in my bioethics paper asking what Utilitarianism was and I was bollocksed if I could remember so I put down a long rambling answer about how it was the worship of Utilities such as the washing machine.
Its a good thing Id lost the respect of most of my lecturers already.

For the cat one if you cross your XO cat (which you assume is female) with a male of either black or orange coat color, I think that you would get all males of the color of the mother, half calico females, and half females of the mother's coat color - and that would tell you 1) if they can mate, then the cat that isn't male and is indeed female, and it would also tell you that she only has one x or two orange or two black alleles, however, that's easy to tell right off the bat just by looking at it. Methinks, anyways... I may be wrong - been a while since genetics...
No idea about the physics ones, but the (a+b)^2 would be a^2+2ab+b^2. As for batman's identity, that would be up to calculus, for sure.
