So I was getting out of the shower this morning as I was singing Crimson and Clovers to the clock radio when I stubbed my toe. It fucking hurt, I looked down at my big toe and I was shocked. I knew what needed to be done.
I type this with my foot in a tub of water at the very moment. Enjoy...

i should probly post a pic of mine now i think of it, it also has that scar from where i dropped the knife and it stuck right in the top of my foot.....
but yeah it may look all cleared out but make sure the sides are clear best way to tell is if the perimeter of that nail is soft like loose skin, if it was hard on any side buthte exposed one, theres most likely some nail bits that will stay in there and grow under causing months if not being able to heal

i feel your pain dude, i currently am growing back BOTH of my big toe nails from a very similar experiences....
first was an ingrown nail that got medically removed but they did it wrong and the acid didnt stop the growing back so i had to remove the whole nail to put it to where it didnt suck with infection.
the second one got caught in a way that tore a good bit of it off and it too started back ingrown.....
then the first came back almost all the way but was having trouble clearing the tip of the toe so i got them both off at almost the same time now that are about 3/4 the way back....
i also used needle nosed pliers, and a pair of hemastats, make sure you get the sides too, the second one i got off i ended up pulling about 50% more the next day
..fucking ingrown nails
it definately feels like 4000% better though.... like right after i yanked that fucker out it was instant relief

See the bottom right corner where there is a pool of blood? The nail was still in there so I had to yank it out. At first I tried using a regular pliers, but that didn't work at all. I kept grabbing it and it would hurt like hell and then it would slip off. Eventually I switched to the needle-nose, grabbed on, closed my eyes, and yanked that fucker off.
